Position Summary
VRH Lightning Protection pvt. Ltd. is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Accounts & Finance Manager to oversee the company's financial operations, statutory compliance, taxation, banking, budgeting, project accounting, inventory accounting, manufacturing cost control, and financial reporting. The role requires close coordination with the company's Chartered Accountant, statutory auditors, banks, government authorities, and internal departments to ensure complete financial transparency, compliance, and operational efficiency.
The ideal candidate should possess strong expertise in accounting principles, taxation, financial management, manufacturing accounting, and regulatory compliance while supporting the management in strategic financial decision-making.
Key Roles & Responsibilities1. Financial Accounting & Bookkeeping
- Maintain complete Books of Accounts in accordance with the Companies Act and applicable Accounting Standards.
- Supervise daily accounting transactions, journal entries, ledgers, and subsidiary books.
- Prepare and verify Trial Balance, Profit & Loss Account, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow Statements.
- Maintain accurate General Ledger and Chart of Accounts.
- Ensure proper accounting of all receipts, payments, expenses, assets, liabilities, and provisions.
- Maintain Fixed Asset Register and calculate depreciation.
- Conduct periodic bank reconciliations and account reconciliations.
2. Accounts Payable & Receivable
- Monitor vendor payments and customer collections.
- Maintain customer ageing reports and vendor outstanding statements.
- Follow up with customers for overdue receivables.
- Verify supplier invoices before processing.
- Monitor advance payments, retention money, and security deposits.
- Ensure timely settlement of employee reimbursements.
3. Taxation & Statutory Compliance
Ensure timely preparation and coordination of all statutory compliances, including:
GST
- GST Registration and amendments.
- GSTR-1
- GSTR-3B
- Annual GST Returns.
- GST reconciliations.
- Input Tax Credit reconciliation.
- E-Way Bill compliance.
- GST assessments and departmental notices.
Income Tax
- Income Tax Return preparation and coordination.
- Advance Tax calculations.
- TDS computation and deduction.
- TDS Returns (24Q, 26Q, 27Q, etc.).
- Form 16 and Form 16A issuance.
- Income Tax assessments.
- Tax audit coordination.
Other Statutory Compliance
- PF & ESI compliances.
- Professional Tax.
- Labour welfare compliances.
- Compliance under the Companies Act, 2013.
Coordinate closely with the Chartered Accountant to ensure timely filing and compliance.
4. ROC & Corporate Compliance
Coordinate with the Company Secretary and Chartered Accountant for:
- Annual Financial Statement filings.
- ROC Annual Returns.
- Director KYC compliance.
- Appointment of Auditors.
- Board Meeting financial documentation.
- AGM financial statements.
- Share allotment documentation.
- Capital restructuring documentation.
- Charge registration/modification.
- Statutory registers and corporate records.
- Maintenance of Board resolutions and financial approvals.
5. Financial Planning, Budgeting & Analysis
- Prepare Annual Budget and Departmental Budgets.
- Develop monthly financial forecasts.
- Monitor Budget vs Actual performance.
- Perform variance analysis.
- Prepare financial projections.
- Recommend cost optimisation measures.
- Conduct profitability analysis for products and projects.
- Prepare break-even and contribution analysis.
6. Cash Flow & Treasury Management
- Prepare weekly and monthly Cash Flow Statements.
- Forecast working capital requirements.
- Monitor liquidity and fund utilisation.
- Coordinate banking transactions.
- Maintain banking relationships.
- Manage Fixed Deposits, Bank Guarantees, and Letters of Credit.
- Plan fund allocation for projects and operations.
7. Banking & Financial Documentation
Prepare and coordinate:
- CMA Data.
- Stock Statements.
- Book Debt Statements.
- Cash Credit renewal documents.
- Loan documentation.
- Working Capital assessments.
- Financial ratios.
- DSCR calculations.
- Project financing documents.
- Loan utilisation reports.
Coordinate with banks for:
- Working Capital facilities.
- Term Loans.
- Bank Guarantees.
- Performance Guarantees.
- Credit limits.
- Financial certifications.
8. Manufacturing & Inventory Accounting
Maintain and monitor:
- Inventory Register.
- Raw Material Register.
- Finished Goods Register.
- Work-in-Progress Register.
- Production Cost Sheets.
- Material Consumption Reports.
- Manufacturing Cost Analysis.
- Inventory valuation.
- Slow-moving inventory analysis.
- Annual physical stock verification.
Coordinate with Stores and Production departments to minimise wastage and optimise inventory levels.
9. Project Finance & Contract Accounting
Monitor project-wise financial activities including:
- Purchase Orders.
- Work Orders.
- Railway project billing.
- Government project billing.
- Customer invoicing.
- Project profitability.
- Cost allocation.
- Milestone billing.
- Security Deposit Register.
- Performance Bank Guarantee Register.
- Letter of Credit Register.
- Project cost tracking.
- Budget utilisation.
- Revenue recognition.
Ensure proper financial monitoring of EPC and infrastructure projects.
10. Payroll & Employee Financial Administration
- Verify payroll processing.
- Process salary disbursement.
- Ensure statutory deductions.
- Process reimbursements.
- Maintain payroll records.
- Coordinate employee tax declarations.
11. Internal Controls & Audit
Coordinate with Chartered Accountant and Auditors for:
- Statutory Audit.
- Internal Audit.
- Tax Audit.
- GST Audit (where applicable).
- Stock Audit.
- Cost verification.
- Internal financial controls.
- Audit observations and closure.
Ensure all records remain audit-ready throughout the financial year.
12. Financial Reporting & MIS
Prepare periodic management reports including:
- Monthly Financial Statements.
- Cash Flow Reports.
- Receivables Ageing Reports.
- Payables Ageing Reports.
- Budget vs Actual Reports.
- Cost Analysis Reports.
- Inventory Reports.
- Sales Analysis.
- Purchase Analysis.
- Project Profitability Reports.
- Fund Flow Statements.
- Working Capital Reports.
- KPI Dashboards.
- Financial Performance Reports.
Present analytical reports to the management for strategic planning and decision-making.
13. Coordination with Chartered Accountant
Act as the primary liaison with the company's Chartered Accountant by:
- Preparing and maintaining complete accounting records.
- Providing all financial documents required for statutory and tax audits.
- Assisting in preparation and filing of GST, Income Tax, TDS, ROC, and other statutory returns.
- Coordinating responses to notices issued by tax authorities.
- Ensuring implementation of audit recommendations.
- Facilitating preparation of certified financial statements and bank-related certifications.
14. Documentation & Record Management
Maintain and safeguard:
- Books of Accounts.
- Purchase Register.
- Sales Register.
- Asset Register.
- Inventory Records.
- Bank Records.
- Tax Records.
- Vendor Contracts.
- Customer Contracts.
- Financial Agreements.
- Statutory Registers.
- Digital financial records and backups.
Qualifications
- Chartered Accountant (CA) preferred.
- CMA / MBA (Finance) / M.Com / B.Com with substantial experience may also be considered.
Experience
- Minimum 5–8 years of relevant experience.
- Prior experience in manufacturing, EPC, electrical infrastructure, construction, or railway-related industries is highly preferred.
- Experience handling government contracts and project accounting will be an added advantage.
