Job Description Accountant
The Accountant shall be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing accounting transactions, ensuring statutory compliance, and supporting the organization's financial operations. The role requires attention to detail, accuracy, and adherence to accounting principles and company policies.
Key Responsibilities
Accounting & Bookkeeping
- Record day-to-day financial transactions in the accounting system.
- Maintain books of accounts, ledgers, journals, and financial records.
- Verify and process invoices, vouchers, and payment requests.
- Reconcile bank accounts, cash books, and vendor/customer accounts.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
Accounts Payable & Receivable
- Process vendor payments and maintain payment schedules.
- Generate customer invoices and monitor collections.
- Follow up on outstanding receivables.
- Maintain accurate records of debtors and creditors.
Taxation & Statutory Compliance
- Assist in GST return preparation and filing.
- Ensure timely deduction and deposit of TDS.
- Maintain records required for statutory audits.
- Support compliance with PF, ESIC, Professional Tax, and other applicable regulations.
Payroll Support
- Verify payroll data and statutory deductions.
- Maintain employee reimbursement and expense records.
Financial Reporting
- Prepare MIS reports and management reports.
- Assist in budgeting and cost analysis.
- Monitor expenses and report variances.
- Support internal and external audits.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Commerce (B.Com), Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- M.Com, MBA (Finance), or relevant certifications will be an added advantage.
Experience
- 4–7 years of experience in Accounts and Finance.
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in Tally ERP/Tally Prime.
- Knowledge of GST, TDS, and statutory compliance.
- Strong MS Excel and reporting skills.
- Familiarity with accounting software and ERP systems.
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
