We are looking for an experienced and highly creative Embroidery Designer to join our team and help drive our client developments from concept to creation.
The Role: As our Embroidery Designer, you will be the creative and technical bridge between our design concepts and the production floor. You will be responsible for creating intricate embroidery designs, developing digital artwork (khaka), and working directly with our master artisans (karigars) to bring those designs to life. The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of pattern making and the technical CAD skills required to ensure our embellishments align perfectly with the garment's structure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design & Development: Conceptualize and create original, high-quality embroidery and embellishment designs tailored to specific international client developments.
- Digital Artwork (Khaka): Accurately draft and adapt digital artwork files onto garment patterns using Adobe Illustrator.
- Team Leadership: Manage, guide, and collaborate daily with our team of skilled karigars to ensure designs are executed flawlessly and production runs smoothly.
- Technical Integration: Utilize your strong knowledge of garment pattern making to ensure all embroidery placements are technically viable and perfectly scaled to the final apparel.
- Quality Control: Oversee the sampling process, ensuring that the final physical embellishments match the digital intent and client specifications.
Requirements & Skill Sets:
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of proven work experience in a similar embroidery design and manufacturing role.
- Technical Skills: High proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop.
- Pattern Knowledge: Solid understanding of garment pattern making and how to digitally map artwork to complex shapes.
- Artisan Management: Prior experience communicating with and managing karigars on a production floor.
- Attention to Detail: A meticulous eye for design, scale, and international quality standards.
