We are seeking a Senior Web Developer whose expertise matters more to us than the lane they sit in. What we value is depth across the full craft of web development: sharp debugging and root-cause analysis, secure coding as a habit rather than a checklist, confident data work, and the engineering judgement to deliver production-quality code in any codebase. Day to day, the work spans our product support stream and product feature development; assignments follow priorities, and a developer with the right skills moves comfortably between the two. We hire for fundamentals over frameworks. Our product stack is modern and actively evolving, and we do not expect prior experience in any specific language or framework we expect a developer whose core programming concepts are strong enough to pick up any language quickly and deliver production-quality, secure code in it.
Key Responsibilities
- Write secure, clean, production-quality code — OWASP-aware, secrets kept out of source control, scan findings acted on promptly.
- Review peers' code with a quality and security lens; take review feedback constructively.
- Own issues end to end — investigate, reproduce, root-cause, fix, and verify, with no regressions left behind.
- Deliver across the product: bug fixes, change requests, data imports and migrations, customer onboarding, and new feature development.
- Keep work visible and well paced — boards current, blockers raised early, ambiguities cleared before development starts.
- Share what you learn — recurring defect patterns, better workflows, reusable practices — so the whole team improves.
Required Skills
- 5+ years of professional web development experience across frontend, backend, and databases — any stack (e.g., Laravel, Go, NestJS, Python FastAPI on the backend; React, Next.js, Angular on the frontend).
- Strong core programming fundamentals — data structures, design patterns, HTTP, APIs, relational data modelling — with a demonstrated ability to pick up new languages and frameworks quickly.
- Solid API engineering — REST, GraphQL, and real-time communication with WebSockets.
- Proven security expertise: secure coding (OWASP Top 10), secret management, security-lens code review, and acting on SAST and dependency-scan findings.
- Strong database skills across relational and non-relational stores (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB) — comfortable with schema understanding, data imports, migrations, and rollback planning.
- Excellent debugging and root-cause-analysis skills on live production systems.
- Experience with Git-based workflows and peer code review.
- Strong sense of ownership across both reactive support work and planned feature delivery.
Added Advantage
- Hands-on AI-assisted ("vibe") coding experience — using AI tools daily for development, debugging, code comprehension, and test generation, with the judgement to validate generated output.
- AI development experience — building AI-powered features such as assistants, recommendations, data analysis, or automation with models such as Claude or Gemini.
- Working knowledge of SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) and Scrum practices.
- Experience in a product support, maintenance, or sustained-engineering role.
- Security, agile, or cloud certifications.
