Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced and result-oriented GT & MT Sales Manager to drive sales growth across General Trade (GT) and Modern Trade (MT) channels. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing sales strategies, expanding market presence, managing key accounts, achieving revenue targets, and leading distributor and retail operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute sales strategies for General Trade and Modern Trade channels.
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
- Appoint, manage, and develop distributors across assigned territories.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with Modern Trade chains such as D-Mart, Spencer's, Reliance Retail, More, Ratnadeep, etc.
- Negotiate commercial terms, product listings, promotional activities, and visibility with key accounts.
- Ensure timely execution of purchase orders, stock availability, and replenishment.
- Monitor primary and secondary sales performance and implement corrective actions where required.
- Identify new business opportunities and expand market coverage.
- Conduct regular market visits to monitor product availability, merchandising, competitor activities, and pricing.
- Collaborate with production, supply chain, logistics, and finance teams to ensure smooth order execution.
- Prepare and present sales forecasts, MIS reports, market intelligence, and business reviews.
- Plan and execute promotional campaigns and trade marketing initiatives.
- Lead, mentor, and motivate the sales team to improve productivity and performance.
Required Skills
- Strong understanding of General Trade and Modern Trade sales operations.
- Experience in distributor management and key account handling.
- Excellent negotiation and relationship management skills.
- Strong analytical and reporting abilities.
- Knowledge of FMCG sales processes and retail operations.
- Good communication and leadership skills.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and CRM/Sales reporting tools.
Pay: ₹12,256.56 - ₹40,000.00 per month
