About the Team and Role
The Online Communications Department is home to a passionate team of content creators, designers, editors, and digital specialists who collaborate to share the message of Krishna Consciousness through engaging digital media.
As an Operations Assistant, you will begin with a key technical and operational role in ensuring the successful execution of daily and festival live streaming, as well as digital content management on ISKCON’s platforms. This includes working closely with stakeholders, volunteers, and the creative team to maintain high standards in our broadcast services and outreach.
Over time, you will also be exposed to and trained in a variety of other essential responsibilities, including videography, photography, studio recordings, content uploads, editing, asset management, volunteer coordination, and basic graphic design. This position offers a dynamic learning environment where you can gradually grow into a well-rounded media operations professional, capable of handling multiple facets of temple media services with confidence and devotion.
This role requires taking end-to-end ownership of the services assigned, and the candidate must be ready to work on festival days, weekends, and holidays as required for temple programs.
Key Responsibilities Live Streaming Operations
- Ensure seamless daily live broadcasts of darshans, discourses, and events on platforms like YouTube, Facebook, and temple websites.
- Set up and operate live streaming infrastructure during events, festivals, and special programs.
- Handle video switchers, streaming software, cameras, audio management, and other equipment.
- Coordinate with stakeholders for complete live streaming logistics including requirement gathering, creative input, technical planning, equipment handling, and resource management.
- Maintain backup procedures and troubleshoot issues in real-time to ensure consistent quality.
- Document key learnings, technical solutions, and experiences from major events or challenges, and regularly present them to team leads to support team learning and process improvement.
Digital Content Management
- Highlight generation and uploading.
- Manage and schedule live stream links, metadata, and playlist organization.
- Basic videography, photography, and setup for studio recordings.
- Data archiving: maintain and organize digital media archives for efficient access and retrieval.
- Basic video and photo editing.
- Graphic Designing
- Basics of content writing and management
Equipment & Asset Management
- Track, maintain, and manage all technical and media-related assets.
- Raise requests for new gear or upgrades and oversee setups during major events.
- Maintain digital documentation for inventory and setup configurations.
Volunteer Coordination & Admin Support
- Train and guide volunteers assisting with live streaming or event coverage.
- Assist with event-related planning, documentation, and basic administrative tasks such as schedules and inventories.
- Support creative and communications teams with minor graphic design (e.g., thumbnails, overlays, presentations).
Required QualificationsHard Skills
- Proficiency with software like vMix, OBS, or equivalent live streaming tools.
- Hands-on experience with streaming equipment like capture cards, video switchers, media converters, etc.
- Familiarity with camera operations, mic setups, and general A.V. troubleshooting.
- Comfortable using YouTube/Facebook Creator tools.
- Basic editing knowledge in Canva, Lightroom, Photoshop, Adobe Premiere Pro, CapCut, etc.
- Ability to manage digital assets, file systems, and archival workflows.

Languages Required
- Fluency in English, Hindi, and Kannada (spoken and written).
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience in live streaming or technical A.V. coordination is preferred.
Preferred Qualifications (Nice-to-Haves)
- Experience using ATEM-based switchers.
- Familiarity with Google Workspace, Notion, Outlook, and workflow management tools.
- Prior volunteer or professional experience in a temple or devotional environment.
