Job Summary
The Precast / RCC Designer & Draftsperson will be responsible for preparing accurate structural and shop drawings for precast concrete projects. The role involves developing detailed drawings based on engineering designs, ensuring compliance with project specifications, applicable standards, and client requirements while coordinating with estimation, project coordination, production, and engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare GA (General Arrangement), shop, fabrication, and reinforcement drawings for precast and RCC structures.
- Coordinate with senior designer for reviewing of design /drawings.
- Develop reinforcement detailing and Bar Bending Schedules (BBS).
- Prepare production drawings for precast concrete elements.
- Review architectural and structural drawings for coordination and clash identification.
- Prepare detailed sections, elevations, connection details, and embedded item layouts.
- Coordinate with Estimators, project engineers ,production and sales team.
- Revise drawings based on consultant and client comments.
- Maintain drawing revisions and document control as per company procedures.
- Ensure all drawings comply with project specifications, applicable codes, and quality standards.
- Support the estimation team with quantity take-offs and drawing clarifications when required.
- Meet project deadlines while maintaining drawing accuracy and quality.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of RCC and precast concrete detailing.
- Ability to read and interpret structural and architectural drawings.
- Knowledge of reinforcement detailing, precast connections, and concrete construction practices.
- Good understanding drafting standards.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and coordination abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Software Proficiency
- AutoCAD, CadsRc.
- Autodesk Revit (Preferred)
- Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook)
- Tekla Structures (Preferred)
- ERP Software (Preferred)
