About the Role
We are looking for a passionate and hands-on Forward Deployment Engineer to join our growing engineering team. In this role, you will build, deploy, maintain, and optimize modern web applications while implementing AI-powered automation solutions that improve business operations.
You will work across the complete software development lifecycle—from frontend and backend development to cloud deployment, monitoring, troubleshooting, and AI workflow integration. This role is ideal for engineers who enjoy solving real-world business problems through software and automation.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, enhance, and maintain frontend and backend web applications.
- Build AI-powered automation workflows using APIs such as OpenAI, Gemini, and Claude, along with automation platforms like n8n, Make, and Zapier.
- Design, develop, and optimize REST APIs, webhooks, and database queries.
- Deploy and manage applications using Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud platforms.
- Monitor application performance, website uptime, server health, logs, and API reliability.
- Implement secure development practices, including environment variable management, SSL configuration, authentication, and database backup strategies.
- Investigate production issues, perform root-cause analysis, and resolve application and workflow failures.
- Collaborate with business and product teams to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions.
- Maintain technical documentation for deployments, workflows, APIs, and infrastructure.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree, diploma, or equivalent practical experience in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field.
- 1–2 years of practical experience in full-stack web development and application deployment.
- Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
- Experience with frontend frameworks such as React, Next.js, or Vue.js.
- Backend development experience using Node.js, Express.js, Python, FastAPI, or Django.
- Good understanding of REST APIs, JSON, webhooks, and relational or NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MongoDB).
- Familiarity with Generative AI models, prompt engineering, and AI integrations.
- Hands-on experience with automation platforms such as n8n, Make, or Zapier.
- Working knowledge of Git/GitHub, Linux, Docker, and CI/CD workflows.
- Ability to showcase practical work through GitHub repositories, deployed applications, AI workflows, or portfolio projects.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience deploying applications on cloud platforms such as AWS, DigitalOcean, Railway, Render, or Vercel.
- Familiarity with Docker Compose, Nginx, reverse proxies, and Linux server administration.
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Sentry, Grafana, Prometheus, or UptimeRobot.
- Knowledge of Cloudflare, DNS configuration, SSL certificate management, and CDN services.
- Basic understanding of Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), vector databases, embeddings, or AI agent architectures.
