Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Senior English Teacher to teach Secondary School students and contribute to academic excellence through effective instruction, curriculum planning, and student development. The ideal candidate should possess strong subject expertise, excellent communication skills, and the ability to foster critical thinking, creativity, and language proficiency among students.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach English Language and Literature to Secondary School students in accordance with the CBSE curriculum.
- Prepare lesson plans, instructional materials, assignments, and assessments.
- Develop students' reading, writing, speaking, listening, grammar, and comprehension skills.
- Encourage critical thinking, analytical writing, public speaking, and literary appreciation.
- Assess student performance through tests, projects, presentations, and examinations.
- Provide remedial support and academic mentoring to students as required.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, assessments, and academic progress.
- Integrate technology and innovative teaching methodologies into classroom instruction.
- Prepare students for board examinations and other competitive assessments.
- Participate actively in parent-teacher meetings, school events, faculty meetings, and professional development programs.
- Support curriculum development and departmental academic initiatives.
Eligibility Criteria
- Master's Degree in English (M.A. English) from a recognized university.
- B.Ed. is mandatory.
- Minimum 5–10 years of teaching experience in Secondary/Higher Secondary classes, preferably in a CBSE school.
- Strong command of English language, grammar, literature, and communication skills.
Skills Required
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong classroom management and student engagement abilities.
- Proficiency in lesson planning, assessment design, and curriculum delivery.
- Ability to mentor students and guide them towards academic excellence.
- Proficiency in MS Office, Smart Boards, and digital learning platforms.
