Industrial Automation Engineer (PLC / HMI / SCADA)
Role Summary
We are looking for a dynamic and self-motivated Industrial Automation Engineer with 3–4 years of experience in industrial automation projects. The candidate should have hands-on experience in PLC, HMI, and SCADA software development using various automation platforms such as Allen Bradley, Siemens, Mitsubishi, and other leading brands.
The role involves software development, testing, machine commissioning, troubleshooting, and providing online/remote support for batching plants, filling machines, and other industrial automation systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop PLC, HMI, and SCADA software for industrial automation systems, batching plants, and filling machines.
- Configure and program PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, and industrial communication networks.
- Perform machine testing, FAT, SAT, site commissioning, and startup activities.
- Troubleshoot and resolve software, communication, and hardware-related issues during installation and operation.
- Provide online and onsite technical support to customers and service teams.
- Coordinate with electrical design engineers, panel builders, and project teams for successful project execution.
- Develop and maintain project documentation including IO lists, software backups, operation manuals, and commissioning reports.
- Implement modifications and software improvements based on customer requirements and field feedback.
- Ensure compliance with industrial safety standards and project specifications.
- Support multiple automation projects simultaneously and meet project deadlines.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of PLC, HMI, and SCADA programming.
- Experience with Allen Bradley, Siemens, Mitsubishi, and other PLC platforms.
- Good understanding of industrial communication protocols such as Modbus RTU/TCP, Ethernet/IP, Profinet, Profibus, and TCP/IP.
- Knowledge of VFDs, sensors, instrumentation, pneumatics, and control systems.
- Ability to read electrical schematics and control panel drawings.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Willingness to travel for site commissioning and customer support.
Qualification & Experience
- Diploma / Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, Automation Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 3–4 years of relevant experience in industrial automation.
- Experience in batching systems, filling machines, or process automation projects will be an added advantage.
