Key Responsibilities
1. Business Growth in Current Markets
- Drive volume and value growth across existing distribution markets
- Identify opportunities to deepen market penetration and increase brand visibility
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets
2. New Market Expansion
- Identify and evaluate potential new markets/territories for distribution expansion
- Develop go-to-market strategies for new geographies
- Appoint and onboard new distributors/dealers as required to support expansion
3. Sales Team Management
- Lead, guide, and motivate the field sales team (Sales Officers/Executives)
- Set individual and team sales targets; track and review performance regularly
- Improve sales efficiency through route planning, beat optimization, and productivity tracking
- Conduct regular market visits and joint work with the sales team to coach and support them
- Drive training and capability building of the sales force
4. Market & Customer Intelligence
- Track competitor activity, pricing, schemes, and market trends
- Gather and analyze customer/retailer feedback to identify opportunities and gaps
- Provide inputs to management on market dynamics to shape sales and distribution strategy
- Monitor consumer preferences and seasonal demand patterns relevant to the ice-cream category
5. Distribution & Trade Management
- Manage relationships with distributors, dealers, and key retail accounts in General Trade
- Ensure adequate product availability, visibility, and cold-chain/freezer placement at outlets
- Monitor distributor claims, stock, and secondary sales data
Key Requirements
Experience: 5–10 years in Sales, with proven experience in FMCG General Trade (frozen/dairy/ice-cream/beverages background preferred)
Education: Graduate/MBA in Sales & Marketing preferred

- Strong understanding of General Trade dynamics and distribution networks
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving market expansion
- Strong team management and leadership capability
- Analytical mindset with the ability to read market/customer data and translate it into action
- Good communication and relationship management skills
- Willingness to travel extensively for market visits
