Job Summary
ORCHIDS The International School, Thane is looking for a passionate, technically proficient and innovative Computer Science Teacher to teach students at the Secondary and Higher Secondary levels.
The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of Computer Science, programming and emerging technologies, along with hands-on expertise in Coding and Robotics. The candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging, practical and application-oriented learning experiences that prepare students for higher education and future careers in technology.
Coding and Robotics experience is mandatory for this position.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach Computer Science / Informatics Practices to students of Grades IX–XII as per the CBSE curriculum.
- Develop structured lesson plans, worksheets, assignments, projects and assessments.
- Teach programming concepts through hands-on coding and problem-solving activities.
- Strongly integrate coding, robotics and STEM-based learning into classroom instruction.
- Mentor students in individual and group-based technology projects.
- Conduct practical sessions and ensure students gain strong programming fundamentals.
- Prepare students for CBSE board examinations, practical examinations and internal assessments.
- Evaluate student performance through tests, practicals, projects, presentations and continuous assessments.
- Identify learning gaps and provide differentiated support to students.
- Encourage computational thinking, logical reasoning, creativity and innovation.
- Organize coding challenges, hackathons, robotics activities and technology exhibitions.
- Guide students in developing working prototypes using robotics platforms and microcontrollers.
- Maintain student academic records and regularly monitor learning outcomes.
- Collaborate with other subject teachers for interdisciplinary STEM projects.
- Communicate students' academic progress and areas of improvement to parents and school leadership.
- Participate in PTMs, school events, exhibitions, competitions and other academic activities.
- Stay updated with developments in AI, coding, robotics, automation and emerging technologies.
- Contribute to the school's technology/STEM ecosystem and innovation initiatives.
Mandatory Technical Skills
The candidate must have hands-on experience in Coding and Robotics.
Programming:
- Python – mandatory
- C / C++ – preferred
- Java – preferred
- HTML, CSS and JavaScript – preferred
- SQL / database concepts
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
