Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer with strong expertise in General Arrangement (GA) development, piping design, and routing for water and wastewater treatment facilities. The candidate will be responsible for end-to-end engineering design, ensuring optimal layout, constructability, and compliance with project specifications and industry standards. The role requires strong expertise in electromechanical systems, hydraulic integration, and site execution within EPC/PMC environments.
Key Responsibilities
Mechanical:
Design and review of mechanical equipment at pump stations / Treatment plants and other facilities of Water/sewage treatment plants process and non-process.
Preparation of technical specification, review of vendor data sheet, QAP for mechanical and process equipment, Valves, Gates, cranes
Preparation of mechanical GAD for pumping stations, WTP and STP equipment including lifting arrangements.
Cost estimation for mechanical works.
Inter plant Pipe design, Cross country pipe line design, pipe network, stress analysis, Pipe weld and test requirement, Preparation of pipe and equipment 3D drawings.
Factory inspection and testing: Pumps, valves, pipes, WTP and STP equipment
Piping Design & Routing:
- Design and review piping systems including routing, support philosophy, and isometrics.
- Perform piping material selection based on service (water, sludge, chemicals, etc.).
- Ensure proper piping layout to minimize pressure drops and avoid clashes.
- Prepare piping GA drawings, isometrics, P&IDs, and 3D models.
Engineering Deliverables
Preparation of:
- GA drawings & layouts
- Piping isometrics
- Piping material specifications
- Support drawings and BOM/MTO
- Review vendor drawings and ensure compliance with project requirements.
