Support the regional GTH Finance Ops [Trade Compliance] function across AMA. This department spans EAP, Greater China, South Africa, and the Middle East. Additionally, it covers LATAM, which includes Mexico, Brazil, Chile, Peru, Bolivia, and Colombia. Provide support through:
Payment audits and service invoice validations
FTA tax benefits use monitoring and data consolidation
Applicable average tax rate computation – month/month.
Monitoring total broker spend and pass, you will meet this activity.
Timely payments to Trade Compliance vendors
Monitor payments by Finance to FG vendors
Monitor uploading of payment records to OpenText
Broker audits (Customs valuation vs Payments)
Purchase order creation for the payment of legal services and other Trade Compliance products and services
Run the Regional Performance Report and monitor FTA applicability by collecting Non-Preferential Certificates for shipments initially declared under tariff preference programmes to ensure customs compliance and audit readiness.
Analyse customs broker delay codes to identify Indicator exceptions.
Trigger support or escalation with 3PLs, vendors, or freight forwarders to resolve payment documentation issues.
Perform any other related tasks requested by Trade Compliance
You will focus on supporting audits, reporting, broker oversight, and continuous improvement plans, while contributing to risk mitigation, regulatory adherence, and process enhancement across the regions.
About the Job
Support the Trade Compliance contact for daily/monthly/quarterly GT Fin Ops related topics and payment in AMA & LATAM to logistic teams, 3rd Party Logistics, Forwarders, and Customs Brokers.
Support execution of internal Customs transactional audit programme.
Prepare reports such as internal audit reports and invoicing reports.
Perform data analysis on import/export related tax payments and support in trade optimization programmes to maximise tax savings.
Timely audit of broker invoices: Sample and review brokerage invoices against rate cards before approving payment.
Timely review and escalation of importation lead-time metrics: Monitor FTA use and opportunity loss.
Complete monitoring reports and maintenance of operational dashboards: Consolidate data from different sources and compile month-end reports.
About You
Education: University degree in Business, Operations Management, Logistics, or other related field.
Experience: 4+ years of experience handling financial operations and reporting within supply chain or imports and exports.
You will need to have conversational fluency in English (oral and written).
Experience using Microsoft Excel. VBA/ RPA/ PowerBI experience is good to have.
Work under management and guidance, following established procedures and guidelines. Participate in data analysis projects under management. Assist junior analysts and team members with technical tasks.
Communication and Collaboration: Collaborate with teams and partners to gather information and assess performance. Implement process improvements.
Help summarise findings and preparing reports and presentations. Focus on accomplishing tasks and completing assigned projects.
