Project Manager – AV Integration Bassline AV Technologies | Gurugram | Full-Time
What This Role Is About
Every project Bassline takes on goes through the same journey — a client with a vision, a technical team that designs the solution, an installation crew that builds it, vendors who supply the equipment, and a deadline that cannot move. The Project Manager is the person who holds all of that together, across multiple projects running simultaneously, without letting any single one slip.
This is not a coordination role. This is a leadership role. You will own the full project lifecycle from the moment a contract is signed to the day the client shakes your hand at handover. You'll lead cross-functional teams, manage vendor relationships, control costs, handle client expectations, and make decisions every single day that directly determine whether Bassline delivers on its promises.
If you've managed complex, multi-stakeholder projects in the AV, interior fit-out, architecture, or building services space — and you have the scars and the wins to show for it — this role was written for you.
What You'll Own
The Full Project Lifecycle
From kick-off to handover, every stage of a project is your responsibility. You'll define the scope, build the project plan, assign resources, set milestones, and track progress with enough rigour to catch problems before they become delays. When a project goes sideways — and sometimes they do — you'll be the one who pulls it back on track without losing the client's confidence in the process.
Leading the Team on the Ground
You'll lead and coordinate across multiple internal teams — design engineers, application engineers, installation technicians, and site supervisors. You won't be doing their jobs for them, but you'll be setting the pace, removing their blockers, holding them accountable, and making sure everyone on the project is working toward the same deadline with the same level of urgency.
Vendor & Subcontractor Management
AV projects run on a complex web of vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors. You'll manage all of them — negotiating timelines, tracking deliveries, validating invoices, and making sure that a delayed shipment or an underperforming subcontractor doesn't become everyone else's problem. You'll build strong vendor relationships while maintaining the leverage to hold them to their commitments.
Client Relationship Management
From the first project meeting to the final handover walkthrough, you are Bassline's face to the client. You'll set expectations clearly, communicate progress honestly, manage scope changes professionally, and resolve concerns before they escalate. Your goal is not just to deliver the project — it's to make the client want to give you the next one.
Budget & Cost Control
You'll own the project budget end to end. That means tracking costs in real time, flagging overruns early, managing change orders, and ensuring that margin targets are protected throughout execution. You'll work closely with the finance team to ensure billing milestones are met and that cash flow across your projects remains healthy.
Risk Management
You'll identify risks before they materialise and have mitigation plans ready. Whether it's a supply chain delay, a design change from the consultant, a resource constraint, or a site access issue — you'll see it coming, plan for it, and handle it without it becoming a crisis.
Reporting & Documentation
You'll maintain clear, accurate project documentation throughout the lifecycle — schedules, status reports, meeting minutes, change logs, and handover packages. The leadership team will always know where each project stands because you'll tell them before they have to ask.
Handling Multiple Projects Simultaneously
You'll carry a portfolio of multiple active projects at any given time, each at a different stage of the lifecycle. You'll structure your time, your team, and your priorities in a way that ensures no single project is neglected because another one demanded your attention that week.
What We're Looking For
- 7 to 12 years of experience in project management, with a strong preference for candidates from AV integration, interior fit-out, architecture, or building services backgrounds
- Demonstrated track record of delivering multiple concurrent projects on time, within budget, and to client satisfaction
- Experience managing cross-functional teams — technical, installation, and commercial — across project sites and in-office
- Strong vendor and subcontractor management skills, including contract review, payment scheduling, and performance accountability
- Hands-on experience with project management tools — MS Project, Asana, Monday.com, or equivalent
- Comfortable with project financials — reading a cost sheet, managing a budget, and understanding project margin
- Excellent communication skills — clear and direct with clients, firm and supportive with teams
- Ability to travel to project sites across India as required
- Based in Gurugram or willing to relocate
What Will Make You Stand Out
A PMP certification or equivalent project management qualification will be valued. Experience working on government or large institutional projects — where compliance, documentation, and formal approval processes are part of the job — is a significant advantage. If you've previously worked at an AV integration or systems integration company, you'll hit the ground running. And if you've managed projects that involved both interior fit-out or architectural finishing and technology installation running in parallel, you'll understand exactly the kind of complexity this role involves.
Who You Are
You're the kind of person who always knows the status of every project you're running — not because you're micromanaging, but because you've built a system that keeps you informed. You're direct with clients, honest about problems, and creative about solutions. You don't wait to be asked for a status update. You give it before anyone needs to ask.
You've been in rooms where a project was in serious trouble and you've led the team out of it. You know that project management is ultimately about people — keeping them aligned, motivated, and clear on what needs to happen next.
Above all, you operate with integrity. You take full ownership of your projects, your decisions, and your commitments — not because someone is watching, but because that's simply how you work. When something goes wrong, you're the first to say so and the first to fix it. When something goes right, you make sure your team gets the credit. That kind of work ethic is not something we can train — it's something we look for from the very first conversation.
If that's how you operate, we want you leading our projects.
