Key Responsibilities:
- Troubleshooting and Problem Solving:Identifying and resolving hardware and software issues, such as network connectivity problems, application errors, and operating system glitches.
- Hardware and Software Installation:Setting up new systems, installing and configuring software, and upgrading hardware components.
- End-User Support:Providing technical assistance to users, answering questions, and offering guidance on using software and hardware.
- Documentation and Reporting:Recording incidents, problems, and resolutions for future reference and for creating a knowledge base.
- System Maintenance:Performing regular system backups, applying patches, and executing preventive maintenance to ensure system integrity and performance.
- Change Management:Coordinating desktop changes to avoid deployment collisions and creating rollout plans for change requests.
- Security:Ensuring the security of desktop computers and data by establishing and following appropriate access controls.
- Training:Training and guiding staff on the use of hardware and software.
- Incident Handling:Participating in incident handling concerning desktop changes and bigger desktop changes.
- Staying current with technologies:Keeping up-to-date with the latest hardware and software trends and technologies.
Required Skills:
- Strong technical skills in hardware and software troubleshooting and maintenance.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Problem-solving and analytical skills to identify and resolve issues.
- Knowledge of operating systems, networking, and computer hardware.
