Supports environmental and multidisciplinary projects by creating technical drawings, managing geospatial data, and performing analysis using tools like AutoCAD Civil 3D and ArcGIS. Responsible for producing site plans, cross-sections, 3D surfaces, and visualizations using LIDAR and GIS datasets, while ensuring high-quality mapping and data outputs. Requires relevant drafting/GIS qualification with 2–5 years of experience, preferably in environmental or consulting environments.

Work with and maintain various datasets, including provincially supplied GIS data and internally managed datasets (e.g., EQUIS database); some figures produced using AutoCAD Map 3D

Support multi-disciplinary projects with data management, analysis, mapping, and GIS-related tasks

Generate environmental assessment and remediation drawings (site/utility plans, cross sections, contour and presentation drawings) based on engineer inputs

Create 3D visualizations, perform volume calculations, and conduct spatial analysis

Support internal ArcGIS Online users by developing Survey123 forms, Collector maps, and interactive applications

Diploma or degree in GIS and/or AutoCAD; education in Environmental Science, Hydrogeology, Geography, or related disciplines is beneficial

5 to 10 years of experience in GIS

Proficiency in some or all of the following: ArcGIS, ArcGIS Online, Collector, Survey123, ArcGIS Pro, EQUIS, AutoCAD Map, Python, SQL Server, R, JavaScript

Experience supporting or delivering environmental projects such as habitat mapping, monitoring, slope stability, air emissions, hydrological or hydrogeological analysis

Experience creating 3D visualizations, volume calculations, and spatial analysis (preferred)

Knowledge of field surveying techniques and GPS technology (asset)

Familiarity with geo-spatial data sources in BC (asset)
