Caretaker (Hospitality Property)

About the Role:
We are looking for a reliable, proactive, and hardworking Caretaker to join our team and hospitality property in Dharamkot. The role involves housekeeping, property maintenance, guest assistance, and supporting the day-to-day operations of our coworking space and café. The ideal candidate is organized, attentive to detail, physically active, and committed to maintaining a clean, welcoming environment for guests.
Key ResponsibilitiesProperty & Housekeeping
- Clean and maintain guest rooms to a high standard, including making beds, changing linens, dusting, and ensuring rooms are guest-ready.
- Provide room cleaning and housekeeping services during guest stays when required.
- Conduct daily property cleaning rounds, starting from the café outdoor area, coworking space, and common areas, continuing through all floors of the property.
- Sweep, mop, dust, and maintain cleanliness of all indoor and outdoor spaces.
- Empty trash bins and dispose of waste from all areas of the property.
- Restock guest essentials, including coffee, tea, sugar, and toilet paper on each floor.
- Conduct additional inspection rounds during the day to ensure the property remains clean and organized.
Property Operations
- Monitor and operate the water pump, ensuring it is switched off once water tanks are filled.
- Identify and report maintenance issues, damages, or supply shortages.
- Assist with general upkeep and maintenance tasks as required.
Guest Assistance
- Assist guests with basic requests and provide room service when required (between 10:00 AM and 5:00 PM).
- Welcome and guide walk-in guests and visitors at the café reception area.
- Maintain a friendly, helpful, and professional attitude toward all guests.
Cafe & Kitchen Support
- Ensure the cafe seating areas, outdoor spaces, and common areas remain clean and presentable throughout the day.
- Support kitchen operations by washing utensils twice daily.
- Maintain cleanliness of the ground-floor kitchen, including floors, counters, and work areas.
- Assist with other cleaning and operational tasks as required.
Requirements
- Previous experience in housekeeping, caretaking, hospitality, or a similar role is preferred.
- Basic communication skills in Hindi and/or English.
- Physically fit and capable of handling cleaning and light maintenance duties.
- Responsible, punctual, and able to work independently.
- Strong attention to detail and cleanliness.
- Friendly and service-oriented attitude.
