Role Overview
We are hiring an energetic Commercial Vehicle Service Advisor for our authorized Tata Motors TASS facility in Korba. In this role, you will be the key liaison for fleet owners, transport contractors, and drivers. You will manage customer reception, open accurate job cards, drive preventive maintenance and Tata Suraksha (AMC) packages, minimize vehicle downtime, and ensure complete billing transparency.
Key Responsibilities
- Vehicle Reception & Joint Inspection: Receive trucks/buses/SCVs, interview drivers/fleet managers to accurately record running complaints, conduct digital walkaround inspections, and log odometer/chassis details.
- Job Card Creation & Estimation: Open job cards in Tata e-DMS, prepare transparent repair estimates (parts and labour), obtain repair authorization from fleet owners/transporters, and establish committed delivery timelines.
- Fleet Uptime & VOR Tracking: Coordinate closely with the shop floor and parts store to expedite parts supply for critical Vehicle-Off-Road (VOR) trucks and achieve Same-Day Delivery targets.
- Value-Added Products & AMC Selling: Educate fleet operators on Tata Suraksha (Annual Maintenance Contracts), Extended Warranty, Tata Genuine DEF/Lubricants, and periodic preventive maintenance schedules.
- Bill Explanation & Driver Handover: Provide a clear breakdown of the final invoice against the initial estimate, explain parts replaced to the fleet supervisor or driver, and ensure gate-pass issuance without delays.
- Customer Retention: Follow up on Post-Service Feedback (PSF), address transporter grievances promptly, and build long-term relationships with regional transport hubs and fleet accounts.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Education: Diploma / ITI / Graduate (Automobile or Mechanical background preferred).
- Experience: 2 to 5 years as a Service Advisor at an authorized commercial vehicle workshop or TASS (Tata Motors CV experience strongly preferred).
- Key Strengths: Strong communication and negotiation skills with transport operators and fleet owners; ability to handle pressure during peak intake hours.
- Software Knowledge: Working knowledge of Tata e-DMS / CRM and basic MS Excel.
- Licensing: Valid Driving Licence required.
