Summary:
As a Business Analyst, a typical day involves examining the structure and operations of an organization to understand how its processes and systems function together. This role requires evaluating the existing business model and how it aligns with technological components. The day includes identifying the needs of customers and stakeholders, envisioning improved future states or solutions, and conducting thorough research to collect and integrate relevant information. The Business Analyst plays a key role in bridging gaps between current practices and desired outcomes by carefully analyzing and designing effective business processes.
Seeking Oil & Gas professionals with strong command over the integrated value chain (Upstream, Midstream, Downstream), key business processes, and critical operational KPIs.
Candidates should possess strong practical knowledge of Oil & Gas operations spanning production, midstream logistics/transportation, refining, and downstream distribution.
Strong capability to engage with client stakeholders using industry-standard terminology and domain-relevant concepts is critical.
Support/drive business analysis, process improvement, and transformation initiatives.
Translate business challenges into structured functional solutions and requirements.
Good understanding of business processes, with exposure to Business Process Led Application Management (BPLAM) and Application Portfolio Rationalization (APR).

Candidates should have experience in responding to RFP/RFI proposals
Roles & Responsibilities:
Apply hands-on knowledge of exploration, production, transportation, refining, and distribution processes to advise clients on operational and IT improvements.
Lead BPLAM engagements, align IT services with business KPIs, manage L1/L2/L3 support frameworks, and ensure incident resolution, change management, and proactive monitoring.
Drive APR initiatives enterprise-wide application assessments, redundancy elimination, cloud migration alignment, legacy system consolidation, and TCO optimization.
Analyze and interpret industry KPIs to link operational performance with cost, profitability, and strategic decision-making.
Support and contribute to pre-sales, RFP, and GTM engagements for major Oil & Gas clients by developing solution constructs, articulating value propositions, and building competitive proposals aligned to client KPIs.
Conduct industry research to deliver actionable account insights on emerging technologies and digital transformation trends.
Engage with cross-functional teams to drive process improvements, transformation initiatives, and solution design.
Good understanding of sustainability and ESG frameworks, with knowledge of Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions.
Professional & Technical Skills:
Education: MBA in Oil & Gas / Energy Management or B.Tech with relevant domain certifications & experience.
Experience: 4-6 years
Certifications (preferred): Upstream/Midstream/Downstream fundamentals, ESG, GenAI fundamentals.
Exposure to SAP IS-Oil / S4HANA or analytics tools is a plus
Power BI, Microsoft 365-power point, advance excel
Exposure of AI tools.
