Job Title: Senior QS Engineer - Real Estate

Job Description:
Key Responsibilities:
1. Estimation and BOQ Preparation:
- Prepare and manage detailed Bill of Quantities (BOQ) for materials, labor, and services based on drawings and specifications.
- Assist in cost estimation during the design and tendering stages.
2. Cost Control and Monitoring:
- Monitor project costs throughout the construction phase to ensure alignment with approved budgets.
- Identify potential cost overruns and implement corrective or cost-saving measures in coordination with the project team.
3. Measurement and Billing:
- Take accurate site measurements and verify contractor bills and quantities.
- Assist in preparing interim and final bills for contractors and vendors as per site progress.
4. Rate Analysis and Procurement Support:
- Conduct rate analysis for materials and labor based on market trends.
- Coordinate with the procurement department for material costing, quotations, and vendor comparisons.
5. Reporting and Documentation:
- Maintain detailed records of all cost-related documents, including BOQs, RA bills, and material statements.
- Prepare periodic cost and progress reports for management review.
6. Coordination:
- Collaborate with project, planning, and site teams to ensure accurate quantity and cost tracking.
- Liaise with consultants and contractors for clarifications and verification of work quantities.
Desired Candidate Profile:
Qualification: B.E. Civil / Diploma in Civil Engineering.
Experience: 6 to 10 years of experience in quantity surveying, estimation, or cost control in construction projects.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in MS Excel, AutoCAD, and quantity take-off software.
- Strong knowledge of BOQ preparation, rate analysis, and cost management techniques.
Soft Skills:
- Excellent analytical, numerical, and reporting abilities.
- Strong coordination and communication skills.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of meeting deadlines under pressure.
