- Station Stocking: Replenish side stations with extra cutlery, napkins, trays, and ice.
- Menu Knowledge: Study daily specials, menu ingredients, and potential allergens.
2. Guest Service & Order Management
- Welcoming Guests: Greet patrons warmly, assist with seating, and present menus.
- Order Taking: Record food and drink preferences accurately using the Point of Sale (POS) system.
- Upselling: Recommend specific dishes, appetizers, desserts, or wine pairings to boost revenue.
- Food Delivery: Serve meals and beverages promptly following established hospitality etiquette standards.
3. Table Maintenance & Cleanliness
- Table Bussing: Clear away empty plates, soiled utensils, and empty glassware between courses.
- Drink Refills: Monitor guest tables proactively to replenish water and beverage choices.
- Sanitation: Wipe down counters and dining tables immediately after guests depart.
4. Billing & Closing Duties
- Payment Processing: Present accurate checks, handle cash, and process card payments.
- Closing Routines: Clean, sweep, and organize service stations for the incoming shift.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or a certification course in hospitality management.
- Experience: Minimum 6 months to 1 year of restaurant or hotel service experience is highly preferred.
- Communication: Strong verbal communication skills to interact clearly with international guests and kitchen staff.
- Physical Stamina: Capability to stand, walk, and carry heavy food trays for extended shifts.
- Hygiene Compliance: Comprehensive understanding of local food handling, safety, and sanitation laws.
