Job Summary
We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Professor for the Aeronautical Engineering Department to lead academic, research, and departmental activities. The candidate will be responsible for delivering advanced technical education, guiding research projects, mentoring faculty and students, and contributing to the academic excellence of the institution.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver lectures and practical sessions in Aeronautical Engineering subjects.
- Develop and update curriculum as per university and industry standards.
- Guide undergraduate and postgraduate student projects and research work.
- Conduct advanced research and publish papers in reputed journals.
- Mentor faculty members and support academic development.
- Lead departmental academic planning and quality improvement initiatives.
- Establish industry collaborations for research and innovation.
- Organize technical workshops, seminars, FDPs, and conferences.
- Contribute to accreditation processes such as NAAC/NBA documentation.
- Supervise laboratory development and ensure effective utilization of department resources.
Required Qualifications
- Ph.D. in Aeronautical / Aerospace Engineering (Mandatory)
- Master’s degree in Aeronautical / Aerospace Engineering
- Strong academic and research background
- Relevant teaching experience in reputed engineering institutions
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of aerodynamics, aircraft structures, propulsion, flight mechanics, and avionics
- Research and publication expertise
- Leadership and mentoring abilities
- Curriculum development skills
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Knowledge of accreditation and academic compliance standards
Preferred Candidate Profile
- 12+ years of teaching/research experience
- Experience in academic leadership roles
