· Wire Harness Design: Create, validate and maintain 3D wire-harness models and detailed drawings using Capital XC or similar wire-harness design tools, with focus on manufacturability and design accuracy.
· Technical Feasibility & Project Support: Support senior engineers in gathering technical parameters, reviewing OEM/customer requirements, resolving preliminary design issues and contributing to RFQ/RFI-related technical evaluations.
· Project Ownership & Customer Coordination: Take ownership of assigned project activities, coordinate with cross-functional teams, participate in customer technical reviews and execute project deliverables in line with agreed technical, quality, schedule and customer requirements.
· Computational & Simulation Assistance: Use Ansys, SolidWorks Simulation, Python and MATLAB for basic engineering calculations, numerical analysis, data processing and initial design evaluations.
· Programming & Scientific Computation: Apply Python libraries such as NumPy, SciPy, Matplotlib and Pandas, and MATLAB where appropriate for engineering calculations, data analysis and technical problem-solving.
· Aerospace Design Projects: Contribute to aerospace-oriented projects involving structures, propulsion mechanisms and space-system concepts such as deployable satellite solar arrays, biomimetic ornithopter mechanisms and aerospike rocket nozzles.
· CANSAT & Space-System Design: Support 3D CAD design of small satellite/CANSAT projects, considering 3D-printing requirements and launch-vehicle compatibility.
· Project Progress Reporting: Prepare project progress reports covering design activities, development status, technical issues, actions, milestones and deliverables.
· Technical Documentation & Revision Control: Maintain accurate engineering records, BOMs, drawings, specifications, design changes and project documentation throughout the product development lifecycle.
· Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with senior design engineers, manufacturing/process teams, suppliers, vendors, customers and other stakeholders to resolve technical issues and support successful project execution.
