Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated Mechanical Design Engineer with expertise in mechanical product design, CAD modeling, drafting, manufacturing processes, and product development. Experience in designing mechanical components and assemblies, preparing engineering documentation, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and supporting projects from concept through production across automotive, aerospace, and industrial engineering domains.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop mechanical components, assemblies, and products using industry-standard CAD software.
- Create 3D models, 2D manufacturing drawings, assembly drawings, fabrication drawings, and engineering documentation.
- Prepare and maintain Bills of Materials (BOM), design specifications, engineering change notices (ECN/ECR), and drawing revisions.
- Design and validate engine components, sheet metal parts, castings, fabricated structures, wire harnesses, and mechanical assemblies.
- Perform technical feasibility studies for RFQs/RFIs and evaluate design changes to meet customer and business requirements.
- Design reviews, and project meetings with internal teams and customers.
- Manage engineering data using ERP/PLM systems and maintain structured BOMs with effective revision control.
- Review designs for compliance with engineering standards, customer specifications, GD&T, and Design for Manufacturing (DFM) principles.
- Support prototype development, production implementation, troubleshooting, and continuous product improvement initiatives.

- Exposure to aerospace projects such as CANSAT, satellite structures, or similar innovative engineering projects.
- Experience working with OEM customers and cross-functional engineering teams.
Educational Qualification
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- Certified SolidWorks Associate (preferred).
- Six Sigma knowledge will be an added advantage.
