Pradhan Industries is looking for sincere, disciplined and field-oriented Assistant Site Incharges for its ongoing and upcoming project development and plant expansion works at LPR, BMD and BNB units.
The candidate shall assist the Site Incharge / Project Head in day-to-day project execution, site supervision, contractor coordination, machinery erection, civil work follow-up, fabrication work, material tracking, safety monitoring and daily reporting.
This is a practical site-based role. The candidate must be willing to work at industrial project sites and should be capable of taking responsibility for assigned work.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Site Incharge / Project Head in day-to-day project development and plant expansion activities at LPR, BMD and BNB.
- Supervise daily site work related to civil, mechanical, fabrication, erection, installation, shifting, alignment and commissioning support.
- Follow up with contractors, fabricators, welders, fitters, civil teams, erection teams, crane operators and labour teams for timely execution of work.
- Monitor civil foundation work, machine foundation work, equipment base preparation, shed work, platform work, structural work, flooring and other project-related civil activities.
- Support mechanical erection and installation work of crushers, conveyors, ball mills, agitators, flotation cells, filters, dryers, pulverisers, pumps, motors, gearboxes, pipelines, ducts, hoppers, chutes and other plant equipment.
- Assist in alignment, levelling, fitting, grouting, anchoring, foundation checking and proper placement of machines and equipment.
- Check that site work is being done as per approved drawings, layout, instructions, specifications and quality requirements.
- Assist in reading and understanding basic site drawings, layout drawings, civil drawings, foundation drawings, fabrication drawings and mechanical installation details.
- Ensure proper availability and utilisation of materials such as steel, cement, sand, chips, welding rods, gas cylinders, cutting discs, fasteners, tools, tackles, consumables and project materials.
- Follow up with stores, purchase, vendors and transporters for timely availability of required materials at site.
- Verify materials received at site as per quantity, quality, challan, purchase order and site requirement, and report any shortage or mismatch immediately.
- Maintain proper record of materials received, materials consumed, pending materials, balance materials and site-level material shortages.
- Monitor contractor manpower, attendance, work allocation, work progress and daily output.
- Ensure that labour, contractors and site workers are properly engaged and no manpower remains idle due to lack of coordination, material or instruction.
- Report daily progress to the Site Incharge / Project Head / Management as instructed.
- Prepare daily site reports covering work completed, manpower engaged, materials used, machinery used, pending work, delay reasons and next-day planning.
- Take site photographs and maintain proper photographic records of ongoing work, completed work, material receipt, machinery installation and important project stages.
- Identify site-level problems, delays, material shortages, manpower issues, contractor delays, technical issues and immediately inform the Site Incharge / Project Head.
- Follow up on pending points until the work is completed and closed.
- Coordinate with mechanical, electrical, civil, production, process, stores, purchase and office teams as per project requirement.
- Assist in shifting, loading, unloading, placement and safe handling of machinery, equipment, structures and project materials.
- Support welding, cutting, grinding, drilling, fabrication, fitting and installation activities by ensuring proper site coordination and safety.
- Ensure proper housekeeping at project site and avoid unnecessary obstruction, wastage, material mixing and unsafe working conditions.
- Ensure that contractors and workers follow basic safety practices during height work, hot work, lifting work, electrical work, machinery handling and fabrication work.
- Ensure proper use of PPE such as helmet, safety shoes, gloves, goggles, safety belt and other required protective equipment.
- Help in checking quality of workmanship and report poor-quality work, wrong fabrication, wrong alignment, wrong installation or deviation from instructions.
- Assist in measurement of work completed by contractors and maintain basic site records for review.
- Support trial run, testing, commissioning and handover of installed machines, equipment and project works.
- Ensure that ongoing plant operations are not unnecessarily disturbed during project execution.
- Take ownership of assigned work and ensure that no task remains unattended, delayed or incomplete due to lack of follow-up.
- Work sincerely under the guidance of the Site Incharge / Project Head and follow Management instructions strictly.
- Maintain discipline, punctuality, proper communication and responsibility at site.
- Protect the interest of the company by ensuring proper use of materials, proper supervision of contractors and timely completion of assigned work.
Candidate Profile
The candidate should have:
- Minimum 5 to 8 years of experience in industrial site work, project execution, plant expansion, fabrication, erection, machinery installation or civil-mechanical coordination.
- Mechanical background will be preferred. Diploma / ITI / Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering or relevant technical field will be preferred.
- Experience in mineral processing plants, graphite plants, beneficiation plants, mining industries, crusher plants, cement plants, steel plants, sponge iron plants, fabrication units or similar industrial units will be preferred.
- Practical knowledge of machinery installation, fabrication, erection, civil foundation work, structural work, welding, fitting and site execution.
- Ability to understand basic drawings, layouts, measurements and site instructions.
- Ability to handle contractors, labour teams and site workers under the guidance of seniors.
- Good understanding of site safety, material handling, daily reporting and work follow-up.
- Must be sincere, punctual, disciplined, hardworking and willing to work at remote industrial sites.
- Must be capable of taking responsibility for assigned work and completing the same through proper follow-up.
- Must not wait for repeated reminders for daily reporting, contractor follow-up, site checking or material status update.
- Must be practical, alert, field-oriented and willing to learn.
- Must be able to coordinate with different departments and communicate site issues clearly.
Reporting
The selected candidate shall report to the Site Incharge / Project Head / Management, as instructed by the company.
He shall be responsible for regular site follow-up, reporting, coordination and completion of assigned project development and plant expansion works.
Nature of Work
This is a site-based role involving regular field supervision, contractor coordination, material follow-up, civil-mechanical execution support, machinery erection support, safety checking, reporting and project completion support.
The candidate must be ready to work at LPR / BMD / BNB as per company requirement.
Salary
Salary shall be negotiable based on experience, technical knowledge, site exposure and ability to handle project execution work.
