Job Summary:
We are looking for a qualified and dedicated Pharmacist to ensure the safe and accurate dispensing of medicines while maintaining compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards. The ideal candidate should have experience in hospital pharmacy operations and excellent knowledge of medications and inventory management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Dispense medicines accurately based on valid prescriptions.
- Verify prescriptions for dosage, drug interactions, contraindications, and allergies.
- Counsel patients on medication usage, dosage, storage, and possible side effects.
- Maintain adequate stock levels and monitor inventory to prevent shortages or expiries.
- Receive, store, and arrange medicines as per regulatory guidelines.
- Maintain narcotic and controlled drug registers as per statutory requirements.
- Ensure FEFO/FIFO practices are followed for inventory management.
- Coordinate with doctors, nurses, and other departments regarding medication requirements.
- Handle inward and outward stock transactions and maintain pharmacy records.
- Process billing related to pharmacy dispensing, if required.
- Ensure compliance with NABH standards, infection control practices, and pharmacy regulations.
- Participate in stock audits and periodic inventory verification.
- Report adverse drug reactions and medication errors as per hospital protocols.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pharmacy.
Required Skills:
- Strong knowledge of pharmacology and drug dispensing.
- Familiarity with hospital pharmacy software/HIS.
- Good understanding of inventory and stock management.
- Knowledge of NABH standards and pharmacy regulations.
- Strong communication and patient counseling skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work in rotational shifts.
Preferred Candidate Profile:
- Hospital pharmacy experience is mandatory.
- Good interpersonal and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced hospital environment.
- Strong ethical practices and patient-focused approach.
- Immediate joiners will be preferred.
Preferred Industry: Multi-specialty Hospitals, Mother & Child Care Hospitals, or NABH-accredited Healthcare Organizations.
Pay: ₹8,268.19 - ₹30,000.00 per month
