Role Overview
We are seeking a hands-on Embedded Systems & Industrial Automation Engineer to
design, integrate, commission, and support radio-based command & control systems used
in infrastructure and defence-oriented applications.
This is a core engineering role, not a desk-based or PLC-only position. The candidate will
work directly with embedded hardware, industrial I/O, radio telemetry systems, and field
deployments, taking end-to-end ownership of assigned systems.
Key Responsibilities
Embedded Systems Development & Integration
• Work with microcontroller-based embedded systems (ARM / STM32 / PIC /
Atmel)
• Interface microcontrollers with industrial I/O modules, relays, and sensors
• Develop and debug firmware related to serial communications and control logic
• Interpret and work from schematics, wiring diagrams, and datasheets
Communication & Telemetry
• Implement and troubleshoot serial communication protocols:
o RS-232
o RS-485
o UART
• Integrate and commission radio modems / telemetry devices for command & control
• Support point-to-point and multi-node communication systems
Industrial Automation & Control
• Work with 24V DC industrial systems
• Handle digital inputs, digital outputs, and relay-based control circuits
• Perform panel-level wiring, signal verification, and functional testing
• Coordinate with fabrication and installation teams as required
Field Work & Commissioning
• Perform on-site commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting
• Diagnose hardware, wiring, communication, and power-related issues in the field
• Provide post-deployment technical support and system modifications
• Travel to customer or project sites when required
Mandatory Skills & Qualifications
• 2–5 years of hands-on experience in embedded systems and industrial electronics
• Strong understanding of microcontrollers (ARM / STM32 / PIC / Atmel)
• Practical experience with RS-232 / RS-485 / UART communication
• Knowledge of industrial I/O, relays, and 24V DC control systems
• Experience integrating radio modems / telemetry systems
• Ability to read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and datasheets
• Strong troubleshooting mindset with field-level problem-solving skills
Good to Have (Preferred Skills)
• Experience with Telemetry or SCADA systems
• Exposure to defence, railway, or infrastructure projects
• Understanding of ruggedized or mission-critical system design
• Prior experience with field deployments in harsh or industrial environments
Not Suitable For
• Pure PLC programmers with no embedded or electronics exposure
• IT / networking profiles without hardware or embedded experience
• Freshers or candidates without real-world project ownership
