Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and result-oriented Production Cum Operations Manager to oversee end-to-end manufacturing and operational activities of the company. The role involves managing production planning, workforce utilization, inventory control, quality standards, procurement coordination, dispatch operations, and continuous process improvement to ensure timely delivery and operational efficiency.
Key ResponsibilitiesProduction Management
- Plan, organize, and supervise daily production activities.
- Ensure production targets are achieved within specified timelines.
- Monitor manufacturing processes to maximize productivity and minimize downtime.
- Optimize manpower, machinery, and resources for efficient production.
- Coordinate with design, quality, and maintenance teams to ensure smooth operations.
Operations Management
- Oversee end-to-end plant operations, including production, stores, dispatch, and logistics.
- Implement operational strategies to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
- Ensure timely procurement and availability of raw materials.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with the purchase department.
- Manage warehouse and dispatch operations for timely customer deliveries.
Quality & Compliance
- Ensure adherence to quality standards and manufacturing specifications.
- Coordinate with the Quality Department to minimize product defects and rework.
- Ensure compliance with workplace safety regulations and company policies.
- Maintain operational records, reports, and documentation.
Team Management
- Lead, motivate, and supervise production and operations staff.
- Assign work responsibilities and monitor employee performance.
- Conduct training programs to improve workforce productivity and efficiency.
- Foster a culture of discipline, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
Planning & Reporting
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production reports.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational performance.
- Identify bottlenecks and implement corrective actions.
- Support management in capacity planning and future expansion initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or related field.
- MBA in Operations Management preferred.
- Minimum 5-10 years of experience in production and operations management.
- Experience in gym equipment, fitness equipment, fabrication, engineering, manufacturing, or related industries preferred.
