A Home Care Nurse provides personalized, skilled medical care and emotional support to patients in their own homes, managing chronic illnesses, post-surgical recovery, or disabilities. They administer treatments, monitor vitals, and educate families to ensure patients recover or maintain well-being in a familiar environment.
- Clinical Care & Monitoring: Assessing patient health, checking vital signs, tracking progress, and administering medications, injections, and IV therapies as prescribed by a physician.
- Wound & Equipment Management: Cleaning and dressing wounds, managing catheters, and ensuring medical equipment is functioning correctly.
- Care Plan Execution: Following and adjusting customized care plans in coordination with the patient's broader healthcare team.
- Patient & Family Education: Teaching caregivers how to administer medications, manage daily care, and recognize warning signs of infection or medical emergencies.
- Emotional Support: Providing compassionate care and acting as an advocate for the patient's rights and comfort.
- Documentation: Maintaining accurate medical records and reporting changes in condition to the attending physician.
Core Qualifications & Skills
- Education & Licensing: A valid nursing license (e.g., Registered Nurse [RN] or Licensed Practical Nurse [LPN]) and relevant certifications
- Hard Skills: Proficient in clinical skills like phlebotomy, wound care, pain management, and infection control.
- Soft Skills: High levels of adaptability, self-reliance (when working alone in homes), and strong communication skills to build trust with families.
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
