Harness is the AI Software Delivery Platform company, led by technologist and entrepreneur Jyoti Bansal (founder of AppDynamics, acquired by Cisco for $3.7B). Harness has raised approximately $570M in funding and is valued at $5.5B, backed by leading investors including Goldman Sachs, Menlo Ventures, IVP, Unusual Ventures, Citi Ventures, and more. As AI accelerates code creation, the real bottleneck has shifted to everything after the code – testing, deployments, application security, reliability, compliance, and cost optimization. Harness brings AI and automation to this “outer loop,” helping teams ship software faster while maintaining security and governance throughout the entire software delivery lifecycle.
Powered by Harness AI and the Software Delivery Knowledge Graph, the Harness Platform applies deep context and intelligent automation across the software delivery lifecycle with governance and policy-driven controls embedded throughout the platform.
Over the past year, Harness powered over 185M deployments, 82M builds, 18T flag evaluations, 8M security scans, 9.1B optimized tests, 3T protected API calls, and helped manage $2.8B in cloud spend — enabling customers like United Airlines, Morningstar, and Choice Hotels to accelerate releases by up to 75%, reduce cloud costs by up to 60%, and achieve 10x DevOps efficiency.
With a global team across 26 offices and 27 countries, Harness is shaping the future of AI software delivery — and we’re looking for exceptional talent to help us move even faster.
Position Summary
The Harness Talent Experience, Development and Impact team is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Learning and Development Manager to join our team in our Bangalore, India office. You’ll partner with the VP, Talent Experience, Development and Impact, People and Places team and key business stakeholders, to address the enablement needs of the 500+ team members in Bangalore and across India, spotting friction points, building highly engaging learning programs, and tracking ROI to prove their impact. The ideal candidate will operate like a product owner for learning: knowing the business, knowing your clients, and pinpointing where to add value and resolve friction. As a Learning and Development Manager, you will play a key role in fostering a high-performance culture and ensuring our workforce remains competitive and future-ready. You'll own these programs end to end — from needs identification through design, delivery, and measurement — accountable for outcomes, not just execution.
Primary Responsibilities
Stakeholder Partnership & Business Alignment
- Partner with the VP, Talent Experience, Development and Impact, the People Business Partners, India Talent Team and key business stakeholders to build deep partnerships, understand organizational and employee development needs and priorities, and deliver global and India-specific programming.
- Collaborate across the People and Places team to keep programs globally consistent while adapting for local needs in Bangalore and beyond.
- Collect and analyze post-course data to assess learning impact, and share findings with leadership to inform decisions.
- Communicate program goals, timelines, and outcomes clearly to stakeholders across the business, so everyone knows what's coming and why.
- Lead and support special projects.
Training Program Delivery
- Design, implement, facilitate, and evaluate learning programs, including workshops, asynchronous learning modules, and enablement and leadership development initiatives.
- Deliver engaging, impactful learning sessions in both virtual and in-person settings.
- Own all course logistics — classroom and virtual coordination, materials, and related arrangements — to ensure sessions and programs run smoothly.
- Conduct assessments to identify skill gaps, development needs, and untapped potential across the organization.
- Own the LMS (currently LinkedIn Learning) end-to-end — backend administration, content curation, troubleshooting, and reporting — and develop and implement adoption strategies that drive usage, completion rates, and a strong learner experience.
- Hold regular check-ins with the VP and key stakeholders to review participant feedback and course evaluations.
- Turn that feedback into concrete changes — recommend and implement improvements each cycle, not just report on them.
Career & Development Support
- Partner with managers and HR to help employees build career development plans
- Act as the go-to resource for employees and managers on available learning and development opportunities, required and recommended.
- Stay current on emerging learning technology and bring innovative tools into development programs.
- Measure the effectiveness of talent development programs using data-driven approaches.
Requirements:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Education, Business, or a related field.
Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in talent development, training, learning & development, or a related role.
- Experience in designing and delivering enablement programs.
- Hands-on experience administering an LMS — backend configuration, content management, troubleshooting, and reporting; LinkedIn Learning experience a plus.
- Demonstrated experience managing multiple complex learning initiatives at the same time, at scale.
Skills:
- Strong facilitation, coaching, and presentation skills.
- Instructional design and curriculum development skills — able to build programs, not just deliver them.
- Data analysis and reporting skills, with the ability to translate learning metrics into business insights and ROI.
- Proficient in using Learning Management Systems (LMS) and other e-learning tools. LinkedIn Learning preferred.
- Product owner, business-partnering approach — able to diagnose organizational needs and translate them into learning solutions.
- Solid grounding in adult learning principles.
- Strategic and analytical thinking — able to spot patterns across data and turn them into a point of view.
- Ability to influence without direct authority, across all levels of the organization.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and project management skills.
- Comfortable working collaboratively across all levels of the organization.
