We are looking for a Government Tender Specialist responsible for identifying, analyzing, and managing end-to-end tendering processes across government and PSU platforms. The role requires strong expertise in bid management, documentation, compliance, and coordination with internal and external stakeholders to maximize tender win rates.
Key Responsibilities
1. Tender Search & Identification
- Regularly track tenders on platforms like Central Public Procurement Portal, Government e-Marketplace, and state portals
- Identify relevant opportunities aligned with company business objectives
- Maintain a structured tender pipeline and calendar
2. Tender Evaluation & Strategy
- Analyze RFP, RFQ, NIT, and BOQ documents
- Assess eligibility, technical feasibility, and financial viability
- Coordinate with management for Go/No-Go decisions
3. Bid Preparation & Submission
- Prepare and submit:
- Technical proposals
- Financial bids
- All compliance documentation
- Ensure accuracy and completeness to avoid rejection
- Manage EMD, tender fees, and bank guarantees
4. Vendor Registration & Compliance
- Manage registrations and updates on GeM and other government portals
- Ensure all certifications (GST, PAN, ISO, etc.) are updated and valid
- Handle empanelment with government bodies and PSUs
5. Coordination & Liaisoning
- Work closely with internal teams (legal, finance, technical, marketing)
- Attend pre-bid meetings and respond to queries
- Maintain professional communication with government authorities
6. Post-Bid Management
- Track bid submissions, opening status, and results
- Handle clarifications, negotiations, and contract finalization
- Support in LOI and agreement execution
7. Reporting & MIS
- Maintain records of:
- Tenders applied
- Success ratio
- Revenue generated
- Provide weekly/monthly reports to management
Key Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of government tendering process
- Experience in GeM and CPP Portal handling
- Excellent documentation and attention to detail
- Good understanding of legal and compliance frameworks
- Strong coordination and communication skills
- Analytical mindset for pricing and bid strategy
