Business Development Officer
Role Overview We are looking for a proactive and highly communicative Business Development Officer to drive occupancy for our commercial property. This is a field-based role; you will be the primary face of our building, actively scouting and engaging local business owners to identify and secure potential tenants. Your goal is to maximize building occupancy by building relationships, creating high-quality leads, and closing lease opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Field Prospecting: Spend the majority of your time in the field, visiting local shops and businesses to assess their growth needs and introduce them to our available commercial spaces.
- Lead Generation & Pipeline Management: Identify potential leads, conduct initial site visits with prospects, and maintain a consistent pipeline of interested businesses.
- Relationship Building: Utilize excellent interpersonal skills to establish trust with local entrepreneurs and business owners, effectively conveying the value proposition of our facility.
- Property Tours: Lead guided tours of the building for prospective tenants, highlighting features, amenities, and strategic advantages.
- Reporting: Maintain clear records of daily outreach, prospect status, and feedback to provide weekly updates on vacancy progress.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Proven Communication Skills: You must be articulate, persuasive, and able to adapt your communication style to connect with diverse business owners.
- Field Sales Experience: Proven ability to work independently in the field and initiate "cold" conversations that turn into meaningful business leads.
- Driving Proficiency: A valid driving license and access to a reliable vehicle are mandatory, as this role requires extensive local travel.
- Tenacity & Professionalism: A results-oriented mindset with the ability to handle rejection professionally while remaining focused on occupancy goals.
- Local Knowledge: A strong understanding of the business landscape in the area is highly preferred.
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
Work Location: Hybrid remote in Karunagappalli, Kerala
