Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Plant HR Manager to lead the Human Resources function at our manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the complete employee lifecycle while ensuring compliance with labour laws, statutory regulations, industrial relations, employee engagement, manpower planning, and HR operations.
The role demands a strong HR business partner who can work closely with plant leadership to build a productive workforce, maintain harmonious industrial relations, and drive organizational performance through effective people management.
Key ResponsibilitiesHR Business Partnering
- Partner with the Plant Head and functional leaders to align HR strategies with business objectives.
- Develop and implement people strategies that support operational excellence and workforce productivity.
- Act as a trusted advisor to plant leadership on HR-related matters.
Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning
- Lead end-to-end recruitment for plant, production, maintenance, engineering, quality, warehouse, and support functions.
- Develop manpower plans in line with production requirements.
- Coordinate with department heads to ensure timely hiring and workforce availability.
- Manage contract labour recruitment through approved manpower vendors.
Employee Relations & Industrial Relations
- Maintain healthy employee and industrial relations across the plant.
- Resolve employee grievances through effective counselling and conflict resolution.
- Liaise with employee representatives, labour unions, and statutory authorities whenever required.
- Support collective bargaining activities where applicable.
- Foster a positive and compliant work environment.
Statutory Compliance
- Ensure compliance with all applicable labour laws and statutory regulations, including:
- Factories Act
- Industrial Relations Code
- Shops & Establishments Act (where applicable)
- EPF
- ESI
- Payment of Wages Act
- Payment of Bonus Act
- Payment of Gratuity Act
- Minimum Wages Act
- Contract Labour (Regulation & Abolition) Act
- POSH Act
- Coordinate statutory inspections and audits.
- Maintain all statutory registers, records, and documentation.
HR Operations
- Manage employee onboarding, confirmations, transfers, promotions, and separations.
- Maintain employee records and HR documentation.
- Ensure HRMS is updated with accurate employee information.
- Oversee attendance, leave management, and payroll inputs.
- Coordinate Full & Final Settlement processes.
Performance Management
- Drive the annual performance appraisal process.
- Support goal setting, performance reviews, and development planning.
- Coach managers on performance management practices.
- Identify high-potential employees and succession planning opportunities.
Learning & Development
- Identify training needs through skill gap analysis.
- Plan and execute technical, behavioural, leadership, and compliance training programs.
- Monitor training effectiveness and employee development initiatives.
Employee Engagement
- Plan and execute employee engagement activities.
- Promote a positive workplace culture.
- Drive employee recognition and reward programs.
- Conduct employee satisfaction surveys and implement action plans.
Payroll & Compensation Support
- Validate attendance and payroll inputs.
- Coordinate with payroll teams for accurate salary processing.
- Resolve employee payroll-related queries.
- Support compensation benchmarking and salary reviews.
Health, Safety & Welfare
- Collaborate with EHS teams to promote workplace safety.
- Support implementation of health and wellness initiatives.
- Ensure employee welfare facilities comply with statutory requirements.
- Participate in safety committee meetings and audits.
HR Analytics & Reporting
- Prepare HR dashboards and MIS reports.
- Track key HR metrics, including:
- Headcount
- Attrition
- Recruitment status
- Overtime
- Absenteeism
- Productivity
- Training hours
- Present HR insights and recommendations to plant leadership.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- MBA/PGDM in Human Resources or MSW (HR) preferred.
- 8–12 years of HR experience, with at least 5 years in a manufacturing or plant environment.
- Strong exposure to industrial relations, statutory compliance, and plant HR operations.
Pay: Up to ₹100,000.00 per month
