Role Overview
The Procurement Manager – Civil & Electrical Segment will oversee end‑to‑end procurement for building, high‑rise, and electrical infrastructure projects. The role involves planning, sourcing, negotiating, and procuring materials, equipment, and services to ensure cost‑effective, timely, and quality supply in compliance with company policies and project requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Procurement Planning & Strategy
- Develop and implement procurement strategies for civil and electrical materials (cement, tiles, plumbing, cables, switchgears, panels, transformers, lighting, etc.).
- Prepare project‑specific procurement plans aligned with schedules and budgets.
- Identify and qualify new vendors to strengthen the supplier base.
- Sourcing & Vendor Management
- Source and evaluate suppliers based on technical, commercial, and delivery criteria.
- Obtain quotations, prepare comparative statements, and recommend suppliers.
- Maintain strong relationships with OEMs, distributors, and contractors.
- Conduct periodic vendor performance reviews and audits.
- Negotiation & Cost Control
- Lead negotiations to ensure optimal pricing, quality, and delivery terms.
- Monitor procurement budgets and achieve cost‑saving targets.
- Track market trends and price fluctuations for key materials.
- Purchase Order & Coordination
- Prepare and issue purchase orders per company approval processes.
- Coordinate with finance, logistics, and site teams for timely delivery.
- Resolve vendor‑related issues such as delays or quality deviations.
- Compliance & Documentation
- Ensure adherence to procurement policies and statutory requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of procurement activities and contracts.
- Support management reporting with procurement metrics and dashboards.
Qualifications
- Diploma in Material Management or Graduate/B.E./B.Tech in Electrical or Civil Engineering.
- MBA / PG Diploma in Supply Chain or Materials Management preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of procurement experience in civil building or electrical projects.
- Strong vendor management, negotiation, and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and ERP/procurement software.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
