Responsible for managing end-to-end human resource functions at the plant level, ensuring smooth industrial relations, statutory compliance, workforce planning, and employee engagement while supporting business objectives in a manufacturing environment.
Core Responsibilities
Industrial Relations
- Maintain harmonious relations between management and workers
- Handle union negotiations, collective bargaining agreements, and grievance redressal
- Liaise with labor authorities and external agencies
Statutory Compliance
- Ensure compliance with applicable labor laws such as, Factories Act, Industrial Disputes Act, Minimum Wages Act, Contract Labour Act
- Manage inspections and audits by government authorities
- Maintain statutory registers and documentation
Manpower Planning & Recruitment
- Workforce planning in coordination with production head
- Recruitment of shop-floor workers, supervisors, and plant staff
- Manage contract labor workforce and vendor coordination
HR Operations & Administration
- Manage attendance systems (biometric, shift planning)
- Promote workplace safety and discipline.
- Plant Administration (Security, Housekeeping, Pantry/Cafetaria, Stationery management)
- Casual/Contractual worker’s monthly attendance and payroll process, Cross check labour contractor’s compliance documents
