Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced ETL Developer / Data Engineer with 6+ years of hands-on experience in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data integration and ETL solutions.
The ideal candidate should have strong experience with ETL development, SQL, data warehousing, data transformation, and database technologies, along with the ability to work closely with business and technical teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain robust ETL/ELT pipelines for large-scale data integration.
- Extract data from multiple sources, transform it according to business requirements, and load it into target systems.
- Develop and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and data transformations.
- Work with relational databases and data warehouse environments.
- Perform data mapping, data validation, reconciliation, and quality checks.
- Analyze source-to-target requirements and create technical specifications.
- Troubleshoot ETL failures, data issues, and performance bottlenecks.
- Optimize ETL workflows and SQL queries for improved performance.
- Collaborate with business analysts, data engineers, developers, and stakeholders to understand data requirements.
- Monitor production ETL jobs and provide timely resolution of data and pipeline issues.
- Maintain technical documentation, data mappings, and ETL process documentation.
- Participate in code reviews and follow data engineering best practices.
- Support data migration, reporting, analytics, and business intelligence initiatives.
Required Skills
- 6+ years of experience in ETL/Data Engineering.
- Strong hands-on experience with ETL/ELT development.
- Advanced knowledge of SQL.
- Strong experience with relational databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or MySQL.
- Experience with data warehousing concepts and methodologies.
- Strong understanding of data modeling, data transformation, data validation, and data quality.
- Experience with one or more ETL tools such as:
- Informatica
- Talend
- SSIS
- Pentaho
- DataStage
- or equivalent ETL technologies.
- Good understanding of source-to-target mapping and data integration processes.
- Experience troubleshooting ETL jobs and production data issues.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and collaboration skills.
Good to Have
- Experience with cloud data platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Knowledge of Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery, or Databricks.
- Experience with Python for data processing and automation.
- Knowledge of Apache Spark or other distributed processing frameworks.
- Experience with Airflow or other workflow orchestration tools.
- Exposure to Data Lake / Data Lakehouse architecture.
- Knowledge of CI/CD and version-control practices.
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.
