Omkar Jewels is looking for a skilled and creative Shopify Developer to develop, manage, and continuously improve our Shopify-based jewelry e-commerce websites.
The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of Shopify, Liquid, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Shopify Apps, APIs, and e-commerce optimization. You will work closely with our management, design, and marketing teams to create fast, premium, conversion-focused online stores for the jewelry market.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, customize, and maintain Shopify stores
- Customize Shopify themes using Liquid, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Create and modify product pages, collection pages, landing pages, menus, filters, and other store sections
- Improve website speed, mobile responsiveness, and overall performance
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot Shopify apps
- Work with Shopify APIs and third-party integrations
- Set up product variants, metafields, custom sections, and dynamic content
- Integrate payment gateways, shipping solutions, analytics, and marketing tools
- Implement Meta Pixel, Google Analytics, Google Merchant Center and other tracking tools when required
- Troubleshoot technical issues and bugs
- Improve website UI/UX and customer shopping experience
- Work on SEO-related technical improvements
- Support product uploads, collections, navigation, and website merchandising when required
- Maintain backups and ensure website changes are properly tested before going live
- Coordinate with marketing and management teams for campaigns, promotions, and new website features
Required Skills
- Strong experience with Shopify and Shopify Theme Development
- Good knowledge of Shopify Liquid
- Strong HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript skills
- Experience with Shopify 2.0 themes and custom sections
- Knowledge of Shopify metafields and metaobjects
- Experience with Shopify APIs and third-party integrations
- Understanding of responsive/mobile-first development
- Ability to troubleshoot Shopify theme and app-related issues
- Basic understanding of SEO, website speed optimization and conversion optimization
- Familiarity with Git/GitHub is preferred
- Knowledge of jewelry or fashion e-commerce will be an advantage
Candidate Profile
We are looking for someone who is not limited to simply installing themes and apps. The candidate should be able to understand business requirements, suggest better solutions, and independently implement Shopify customizations.
You should have a strong eye for premium and luxury e-commerce design, attention to detail, and the ability to create a smooth shopping experience across desktop and mobile devices.
Experience
Preferred: 1–3+ years of hands-on Shopify development experience.
