Job Summary:Plant Feed Manager
The Plant Feed Manager is responsible for overseeing the production, quality control, and distribution of feed within the plant. This role ensures efficient operations, compliance with safety and regulatory standards, and the consistent production of high-quality feed products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day operations of the feed plant, including production planning and scheduling
- Ensure quality standards are maintained for all feed products
- Supervise plant staff, including operators, technicians, and laborers
- Monitor raw material procurement, storage, and inventory levels
- Ensure proper formulation and mixing of feed as per specifications
- Maintain equipment and coordinate preventive maintenance schedules
- Implement and enforce safety protocols and regulatory compliance
- Optimize production efficiency and reduce waste and downtime
- Coordinate with procurement, logistics, and sales teams
- Prepare production reports and maintain records
Qualifications & Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Animal Nutrition, Feed Technology, or related field
Proven experience in feed plant operations or manufacturing
Strong leadership and team management skills
Knowledge of feed formulation and quality control processes
Familiarity with safety standards and regulatory requirements
Good problem-solving and decision-making abilities
Basic computer skills (MS Office, ERP systems preferred)
Experience:
3–7 years of relevant experience in feed production or plant management
