Key Responsibilities:
Project Management & Execution
The Senior Manager will assume full ownership of fit out projects from conception through completion, managing MEP and C&I scope elements. This includes developing comprehensive project plans, establishing timelines and budgets, coordinating design and construction activities, ensuring quality standards and compliance with building codes and regulations, and delivering projects on schedule and within approved budgets. The role encompasses managing project documentation including drawings, specifications, contracts, and as-built records.
Stakeholder Coordination & Collaboration
Strong coordination with the operations team is essential to assess and minimize operational impact during project execution. The role requires close collaboration with the Technology team for IT infrastructure integration and systems alignment, security management, the Facility Management team including Property and Hospitality, and the Critical Systems team to maintain uptime and reliability of mission-critical infrastructure. Regular communication with senior leadership, vendors, contractors, and end-users throughout project lifecycles is expected.
Critical Systems Support
The Senior Manager will provide technical and project support during planned power downs and maintenance windows, manage sustainment projects for critical systems including UPS, generators, PHE, cooling systems, and fire safety systems, and oversee major and minor modifications to existing plant and infrastructure. This includes risk assessment and mitigation planning for all critical system interventions and developing contingency plans to ensure business continuity during maintenance activities.
Facility Management Integration
A fundamental understanding of facility management operations and best practices is required. The position involves coordinating closely with the operations team to understand building systems, maintenance requirements, and operational constraints. The Senior Manager will ensure project designs consider long-term maintainability and operational efficiency while supporting the transition from project delivery to operational handover with comprehensive documentation and training.
Technical Oversight & Quality Assurance
Responsibilities include conducting technical reviews of design documents, specifications, and contractor submittals, ensuring compliance with engineering standards, safety regulations, and industry best practices, performing site inspections and quality audits throughout project execution, and managing commissioning activities and performance testing of new installations. The role requires identifying and resolving technical issues and design conflicts promptly.
Required Qualifications
Education
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Electrical Engineering or related technical discipline
PMP or equivalent project management certification is an advantage
Experience
Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in project management with significant exposure to fitout projects
Proven track record managing MEP and C&I projects in commercial, institutional, or industrial facilities
Demonstrated experience working in facility management environments or supporting operational facilities
Experience managing critical infrastructure projects including power systems, PHE, HVAC, and building management systems
Background in coordinating multi-disciplinary projects involving technology integration and facility operations
Key Competencies & Success Metrics
The ideal candidate will possess strong understanding of MEP systems design, installation, and commissioning, along with comprehensive knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and engineering standards. Familiarity with critical systems including UPS, generators, chillers, and fire protection systems is essential, as is a basic understanding of facility management operations, preventive maintenance, and lifecycle planning. Technical proficiency in project management tools, AutoCAD, and MS Office Suite is required.
Beyond technical capabilities, the role demands exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills with the ability to influence across organizational levels. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with meticulous attention to detail are critical, along with excellent organizational skills and the capability to manage multiple concurrent projects simultaneously. The candidate must demonstrate proven ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines while maintaining quality standards, supported by strong leadership skills with experience managing contractors, vendors, and cross-functional teams.
Success in this role will be measured through consistent on-time and within-budget project delivery, high stakeholder satisfaction scores from operations and business teams, superior quality of project execution with minimal defects and rework, an exemplary safety record with zero incidents, and effective operational transition and handover processes that ensure seamless integration into facility operations.
