Role: AI Solutions Architect & Backend Engineer

Moral Coding is the vetted builder network behind VerbaFlow and Veldon Lab. We are building a community where engineering talent gets hired based on execution, not inflated resumes. Our network connects verified builders to serious production projects. We build production AI systems, workflow automation, custom software, and autonomous agent crews for growing businesses. Our stack runs on real world constraints, and we prioritize execution over theory.
As we scale our operations, we are looking for an AI Solutions Architect and Backend Engineer to take over the production infrastructure for our multi agent platforms (like Galaxy) and internal tooling. You are joining to own production systems from day one.
The Reality of the Work:
We have a dedicated frontend intern, so your focus will be entirely on backend execution and AI system architecture. This includes:
- AI Solutions Architecture: You will design multi agent topologies (orchestrators, specialized councils, worker agents) and map complex business problems into scalable AI workflows. You must be able to architect enterprise hierarchies and multi tenant agent systems.
- Asynchronous Python Services: Building high volume event routers, chat platform integrations (Discord/Telegram), and local data pipelines.
- Model Context Protocol (MCP) Servers: Building the bridges that securely connect our LLMs to databases and third party APIs.
- Node and TypeScript Architecture: Managing Next.js server side architecture, headless CMS integrations, and complex webhook processing.
- Data and State Management: Structuring Prisma ORM schemas, running Supabase (PostgreSQL) migrations, and writing raw SQL.
- Visual Orchestration: Debugging and extending massive n8n workflows. You must understand visual state management, webhook chaining, and retry logic at scale.
- Security & Sandboxing: Managing HashiCorp Vault credential storage and ensuring strict network isolation between execution environments.
Qualifications:
- AI Orchestration & NLP Routing: Minimum 1 year of production AI experience. You must understand how to build systems that parse natural language, route intent, and hand off execution to isolated skills.
- Containerization & Network Security: You must know Docker deeply. You need to know how to isolate a headless browser worker from a secure credential vault running on a strictly internal Docker network.
- Human in the Loop (HITL) Engineering: You must know how to build asynchronous approval flows at the code level. Our systems execute via platforms like Discord and n8n webhooks, forcing human approval before critical actions.
- Third Party AI Integration: You must be able to chain LLMs (Anthropic, DeepSeek, Gemini, OpenAI), real time web research APIs (Perplexity), and media generation models into cohesive pipelines.
- Engineering Foundation: Minimum 2 to 3 years of core computer science experience. Before you touch AI, you must understand relational databases, asynchronous Python (FastAPI/aiohttp), Node.js, and API design.
- Proof of Work: Moral Coding runs on verified skill, not inflated resumes. You must have shipped real projects, and you will pass a sandbox challenge to prove it.
- Autonomy: We operate with zero micromanagement. You must be able to navigate an active codebase, isolate issues, and deploy fixes independently.
Compensation and The Startup Reality:
This is a fast growing startup, and you must be comfortable with the reality of early stage building.
- Initial Period: You must be prepared to build for the first 2 to 3 months without immediate cash compensation.
- The Upside: If you stick around and deliver over the first 6 months, we offer early stage equity or a target performance payout between 2 and 6 lakh.
- The Disclaimer: We operate on revenue and execution. These payouts are performance targets for builders who help us grow, not guaranteed salaries or legally binding promises. You earn the upside by shipping systems that generate real revenue.
