The Global Pricing and Contracting IT team at Medtronic partners with commercial groups to develop AI and analytics-driven systems that improve pricing and contracting strategies. These tools generate insights to help maximize revenue, expand market share, and support global go-to-market efforts. The Sr. IT Developer designs, builds, and supports internal CPQ/CLM applications that enable U.S. P&C capabilities. The role translates business needs into technical solutions, leads design discussions, develops and tests code, and improves system performance, reliability, and scalability. It also promotes development best practices such as CI/CD, automated testing, and strong architecture patterns while troubleshooting issues and supporting upgrades and integrations. The position collaborates closely with business stakeholders, acting as a bridge between P&C and IT to ensure technology and data support business decisions. Responsibilities include gathering requirements, documenting solutions, mentoring developers, improving development processes, and contributing to architectural direction while working in agile teams to deliver technology solutions that support business outcomes and patient impact.

- Application Development and Support
- Design, develop, maintain, and enhance software applications supporting internal business functio n.
- Analyze systems and implement new applications or enhancements .
- Write, test, and debug code following development standards .
- Maintain system documentation and build integrations or specialized programs .
- Support maintenance, upgrades, and troubleshoot system issues .
- Systems Analysis and Implementation
- Analyze system capabilities, data inputs/outputs, and processing requirements.
- Develop implementation plans and prepare operating and support documentation.
- Recommend improvements to development standards and system processes.
- Business Collaboration
- Partner with business teams to gather and document requirements.
- Lead discovery sessions and translate technical solutions for business users.
- Provide user support and training.
- Project Delivery and Team Collaboration
- Participate in or lead projects from design through implementation.
- Collaborate across IT and business teams and mentor junior developers when applicable.
- Process Improvement and Compliance
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and system efficiency.
- Monitor integrations and data synchronization.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory, privacy, and corporate IT standards.
Required knowledge and experience:
- Overall 7 to 12 years of IT experience with Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, MCA, or MSc.
- Experience with Conga CPQ/CLM or other leading industry software.
- Familiarity with ERP/CRM platforms (e.g., SAP, Salesforce) and commercial systems.
- Experience working with Agile environments with CI/CD and version control (GIT).
- Experience developing APIs and integrating enterprise systems.
- Ability to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
- Solid understanding of system landscape, design and architecture.
- Experience with implementing technologies that span automation, Pricing, Quoting and Contracting.
- Experience with management of project implementations.
- Strong process documentation skills.
