EPAM is a leading global provider of digital platform engineering and development services. We are committed to having a positive impact on our customers, our employees, and our communities. We embrace a dynamic and inclusive culture. Here you will collaborate with multi-national teams, contribute to a myriad of innovative projects that deliver the most creative and cutting-edge solutions, and have an opportunity to continuously learn and grow. No matter where you are located, you will join a dedicated, creative, and diverse community that will help you discover your fullest potential.
We are looking for a Lead UX Designer who operates at the intersection of design craft and AI-augmented delivery.
You'll own the end-to-end experience design for enterprise agentic interfaces — conversational workflows, multi-step task orchestration, contextual interventions, and trust-calibration patterns that help developers and knowledge workers confidently delegate to, collaborate with, and supervise AI agents.
This is not a "chat UI" role; you'll be designing for systems where agents discover information across fragmented sources, navigate governance and access constraints on behalf of users, and surface decision-ready context rather than raw answers.
Responsibilities
-
Own end-to-end experience design for enterprise agentic interfaces, including conversational workflows, multi-step task orchestration, and contextual interventions
-
Design trust-calibration patterns that help developers and knowledge workers delegate to, collaborate with, and supervise AI agents
-
Architect how systems communicate intent, handle ambiguity, manage repair and fallback, and maintain coherence across multi-turn, multi-agent interactions
-
Ensure the user's mental model of "who is doing what" remains clear at all times across complex agent interactions
-
Translate ambiguous problem spaces into coherent, testable experience frameworks
-
Shape a nascent agentic experience framework that is still being defined, contributing to underlying design system, interaction patterns, and heuristics
-
Deliver production-ready designs for enterprise ecosystems while establishing standards that govern how agentic experiences behave
-
Vibe code functional prototypes and use generative AI to rapidly explore layout and content variations
-
Leverage LLM-assisted workflows to accelerate research synthesis and specification writing
-
Articulate design rationale to engineering and product partners in a fast-moving environment
Requirements
-
10-15 years of experience in UX design, with a strong portfolio of complex, multi-state interaction design
-
Expertise in conversational design principles, including dialogue scripting and the deeper architecture of system communication, ambiguity handling, and multi-turn coherence
-
Background in designing for enterprise agentic interfaces, multi-step task orchestration, and trust-calibration patterns
-
Proficiency in UX/UI design tools
-
Fluency with AI-native design and prototyping tools, including vibe coding, generative AI for layout exploration, and LLM-assisted workflows
-
Capability to treat AI tools as a power user treats a codebase — orchestrating, iterating, and knowing when output needs human judgment
-
Showcase of translating ambiguous problem spaces into coherent, testable experience frameworks
-
Understanding of governance and access constraints in enterprise ecosystems, and surfacing decision-ready context rather than raw answers
-
Comfort with ambiguity, a bias toward making rather than waiting, and strong ability to communicate design rationale to engineering and product partners
-
Proficiency in English at an Upper-Intermediate level (B2) or higher
