Role Overview
We are seeking a professionally trained Dance Teacher who is passionate about working with young children and can also effectively manage daycare responsibilities. The ideal candidate should be energetic, caring, creative, and capable of engaging children through dance, movement, storytelling, and recreational activities while ensuring their overall well-being and safety.
Key ResponsibilitiesDance & Movement Education
- Conduct engaging dance and movement sessions for preschool and daycare children.
- Teach age-appropriate dance techniques, rhythm, coordination, and body movement.
- Choreograph performances for annual functions, celebrations, competitions, and special events.
- Foster children's confidence, creativity, expression, and physical development through dance.
- Integrate music and movement into daily learning experiences.
Daycare Management
- Supervise children during daycare hours and ensure their safety and well-being.
- Assist with daily routines including meals, rest time, hygiene, and recreational activities.
- Create a warm, nurturing, and child-friendly environment.
- Engage children in meaningful activities, free play, storytelling, and group interactions.
- Support children with homework and age-appropriate learning activities, where required.
Child Development & Engagement
- Encourage positive behaviour, social skills, and emotional development.
- Build strong relationships with children through patience, empathy, and active engagement.
- Participate in school events, celebrations, and special activity days.
Parent Communication
- Maintain professional communication with parents regarding children's participation, progress, and well-being.
- Share feedback and updates as required.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate in any discipline.
- Professional training or certification in Dance from a recognised institution.
- Minimum 1–3 years of experience teaching dance to children.
- Good spoken English and communication skills.
- Strong classroom and child management abilities.
- Passion for working with young children.
Preferred Skills
- Experience working in a preschool, daycare, activity centre, or early childhood education environment.
- Knowledge of storytelling, music, creative movement, and child engagement techniques.
- Basic Art & Craft skills will be an added advantage.
