- The consultant will support corridor-level assessment and planning for nature-based solutions under the Clean Air Zones project in Vijayawada and Visakhapatnam.
- Key tasks include assessing existing green cover, roadside vegetation, site conditions, and ecological suitability; identifying suitable locations for green buffers, avenue plantations, vertical greening, pocket greening, and other NBS interventions; conducting GIS/remote sensing analysis and field validation; supporting species and greening typology selection; and preparing maps, field notes, technical inputs, presentations, and report sections.
- The consultant will also assist in stakeholder consultations and coordination with project partners and city-level agencies, as required
PhD/Masters with experience
Urban climate- urban green-space assessment- roadside vegetation- nature-based solutions- field-based ecological assessment- and GIS/remote sensing-based spatial analysis.
The consultant has experience in assessing urban vegetation for air pollution mitigation- thermal comfort- biodiversity enhancement- and climate-resilient urban planning
