Job Summary
We are looking for a sincere, hardworking and responsible Service Technician / Service Engineer to join our service team.
The candidate will be responsible for attending installation, maintenance and breakdown service calls at customer locations across Guwahati and different parts of North East India.
Candidates with experience in electrical work, wiring, installation, maintenance, inverters, batteries or similar technical work will be preferred. However, prior experience in UPS systems is not required.
Candidates without technical experience may also apply, provided they have a genuine willingness to learn, are comfortable with practical fieldwork and are ready to travel regularly. Technical and product training will be provided by the company.
Nature of the Role
This is a field-based and travel-intensive position.
- The engineer will be required to travel regularly within Guwahati and across North East India
- Outstation travel may be required frequently depending on service calls
- Most outstation travel takes place at night so that the engineer can reach the customer location and attend the service call on time
- Engineers may also be required to carry out work during nighttime, depending on the urgency of the breakdown and the customer’s operational requirements
- Candidates must be comfortable with frequent travel, overnight journeys and flexible working hours
- Travelling Allowance and applicable visit expenses will be provided separately for official service visits as per company policy
Key Responsibilities
- Attend installation, preventive maintenance and breakdown service calls
- Install and service UPS systems, batteries and related power backup equipment
- Carry out basic electrical checks, wiring and battery connections
- Learn fault diagnosis and troubleshooting under the guidance of senior engineers
- Coordinate with customers during service visits
- Provide regular updates to the office regarding the progress of service calls
- Prepare and submit service reports after completing each visit
- Follow company service procedures, reporting systems and safety guidelines
- Coordinate with the office and senior engineers for technical assistance and spare requirements
- Travel within Guwahati and across North East India for customer service support
- Attend urgent or nighttime service work whenever required
Requirements
- Education: Higher Secondary, ITI, Diploma or any relevant technical qualification
- Experience in electrical work, wiring, maintenance, installation, inverters, batteries or similar work will be preferred
- Prior UPS experience is not compulsory
- Freshers and candidates without technical experience may also apply
- Must have a genuine willingness to learn technical and electrical work
- Must be comfortable working practically with tools and equipment
- Must be willing to travel frequently within Guwahati and across North East India
- Must be comfortable with night travel, overnight journeys and occasional nighttime service work
- Must be sincere, disciplined, punctual and responsible
- Must be able to follow instructions and coordinate properly with customers and the office team
- Two-wheeler and a valid driving licence will be an added advantage
Language Requirements
- Speaking: Assamese, Hindi and basic English
- Writing: Basic English for preparing service reports and official communication
Work Schedule
Full-Time | Monday to Saturday
The regular office timing is 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM. However, this is a field service role, and actual working hours may vary depending on customer service calls, breakdown requirements, travel schedules and outstation assignments.
The candidate must be flexible regarding working hours and travel timings.
