We are looking for an experienced and diligent Corporate Accountant to join our finance team. Position Overview
The Corporate Accountant will manage day-to-day accounts, ensure statutory tax compliance (GST, TDS), and maintain clean financial records for our corporate and manufacturing operations. Operating out of our Muringoor office, you will work closely with management to provide clear financial insight and streamline our accounting workflow.
Key Responsibilities
- Day-to-Day Bookkeeping: Manage and maintain the general ledger, verifying and posting daily financial transactions, journal entries, and bank vouchers.
- Statutory Compliance: Handle Indian tax filings and compliance, including GST returns (GSTR-1, 3B, reconciliation with GSTR-2B), TDS deduction & filing, and ESI/PF processing.
- Reconciliations: Perform regular bank reconciliations, vendor ledger matching, and customer statement reconciliations to resolve discrepancies.
- Accounts Payable & Receivable: Oversee vendor payments, monitor aging bills, follow up on outstanding credit balances from distributors, and track incoming collections.
- Month-End Operations: Support the senior team in closing monthly books, adjusting provisions, and prepping the Balance Sheet and Profit & Loss statements.
- Audit Preparation: Maintain neat documentation and digital files to assist internal and external auditors during annual tax filings.
Qualifications & Skills
- Education: B.Com / M.Com or MBA in Finance is required. CA-Inter or CMA-Inter dropouts are welcome to apply.
- Experience: 2–5 years of accounting experience. Experience in a manufacturing unit, chemical sector, or distribution/dealership network is highly preferred.
- Technical Software Skills:
- High proficiency in Tally Prime or a corporate ERP platform.
- Strong skills in Microsoft Excel (Formulas, VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables for data matching).
- Tax Knowledge: Solid, up-to-date understanding of Indian GST laws, e-way bills, and TDS rules.
- Language & Soft Skills: Good communication skills in Malayalam and working knowledge of English. Strong business ethics, reliability, and precision with data.
