Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Android Developer with 3+ years of hands-on experience in Kotlin to design, develop, test, and maintain high-quality Android applications. The candidate should have strong knowledge of Android application architecture, API integration, performance optimization, and modern Android development practices.
The developer will work closely with UI/UX designers, backend developers, product teams, and other stakeholders to build scalable, reliable, and user-friendly mobile applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop Android applications using Kotlin.
- Develop clean, maintainable, reusable, and efficient code.
- Build responsive and user-friendly mobile interfaces.
- Integrate REST APIs and third-party services.
- Work with Android SDK, Jetpack libraries, and modern Android development tools.
- Implement application architecture using MVVM / Clean Architecture principles.
- Handle local data storage using Room, SQLite, SharedPreferences, or DataStore.
- Implement asynchronous programming using Kotlin Coroutines and Flow.
- Identify and resolve application bugs, crashes, and performance issues.
- Optimize applications for speed, scalability, battery usage, and device compatibility.
- Work with Firebase services such as Analytics, Crashlytics, Cloud Messaging, and Authentication.
- Perform unit testing, debugging, and application performance monitoring.
- Manage application builds, versioning, and Google Play Store releases.
- Participate in code reviews and follow coding standards and development best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout the application development lifecycle.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 3+ years of professional Android application development experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with Kotlin.
- Strong understanding of Android SDK and Android Studio.
- Experience with Jetpack Compose and/or XML-based UI development.
- Good knowledge of MVVM, Clean Architecture, Repository Pattern, and dependency injection.
- Experience with Retrofit, REST APIs, JSON, and third-party API integration.
- Experience with Coroutines, Flow, LiveData, ViewModel, Room, Navigation Component, and WorkManager.
- Familiarity with dependency injection frameworks such as Hilt or Dagger.
- Experience with Git and version-control workflows.
- Understanding of Material Design and Android UI/UX guidelines.
- Knowledge of application security, authentication, and secure data handling.
- Experience in debugging, profiling, testing, and performance optimization.
- Experience publishing and maintaining applications on the Google Play Store.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Jetpack Compose.
- Knowledge of Firebase and Google Cloud services.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines for Android applications.
- Knowledge of modular Android application architecture.
