Job Purpose
To drive sales growth of abrasive products by developing new customers, managing key accounts, providing technical sales support, and strengthening market presence as an authorized dealer and distributor.
Key Responsibilities
- Promote and sell abrasive products (cutting wheels, grinding wheels, flap discs, polishing products, etc.) to industrial, fabrication, engineering, and manufacturing customers.
- Achieve monthly and annual sales targets as assigned by management.
- Develop new customers and maintain strong relationships with existing clients.
- Conduct regular field visits, product demonstrations, and technical discussions with customers.
- Understand customer applications and recommend suitable abrasive solutions.
- Coordinate with principals/manufacturers for technical support, schemes, and new product launches.
- Prepare and submit daily visit reports, sales forecasts, and MIS reports.
- Handle negotiations, pricing discussions, and order finalization within company guidelines.
- Coordinate with the internal team (stores, accounts, logistics) for timely order execution and payment collection.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback.
- Ensure proper branding, visibility, and promotion of products in the assigned territory.
- Participate in exhibitions, dealer meets, and promotional activities as required.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma / BE / BTech in Mechanical, Production, or related engineering field preferred.
- Additional sales or marketing certification will be an advantage.
Experience
- Minimum 3 years of experience in industrial sales.
- Mandatory experience in abrasive products or welding/industrial consumables preferred.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong technical and commercial understanding of abrasive products.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Self-motivated with strong target orientation.
- Ability to work independently in the field.
- Basic computer skills (MS Excel, email, CRM).
Other Requirements
- Must own a two-wheeler and hold a valid driving license.
- Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory.
