Position: Bar Waiter
Location: Hotel Ganga, Muvattupuzha, Ernakulam, Kerala
Department: Food & Beverage Service
Reporting To: Bar Supervisor / F&B Manager
Job Summary
The Bar Waiter is responsible for providing excellent guest service in the bar area by taking orders, serving beverages and food, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring a pleasant dining and drinking experience for guests while adhering to hotel service standards.
Key ResponsibilitiesGuest Service
- Welcome guests in a friendly and professional manner.
- Present beverage and food menus and assist guests with selections.
- Take accurate orders and communicate them to the bar and kitchen team.
- Serve beverages, snacks, and food items promptly and efficiently.
- Ensure guest satisfaction throughout their visit.
- Handle guest requests and complaints courteously and report issues to supervisors when necessary.
Bar Operations
- Assist bartenders during busy service periods.
- Deliver drinks and food orders to guests accurately.
- Monitor guest tables and replenish items as required.
- Clear used glasses, plates, and other service items promptly.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar and seating areas.
Hygiene & Safety
- Follow hotel hygiene, sanitation, and food safety standards.
- Ensure all service equipment is clean and properly maintained.
- Adhere to responsible alcohol service policies and local regulations.
- Report any safety hazards or maintenance issues immediately.
Cash & Billing Support
- Assist with bill presentation and payment collection when required.
- Ensure accuracy in guest orders and billing procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum Higher Secondary (Plus Two) or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a bar, restaurant, or hotel F&B service role preferred.
- Basic knowledge of beverages, cocktails, and bar service procedures.
- Good communication skills in Malayalam and basic English.
- Customer-focused attitude with excellent interpersonal skills.
