Position – Design Engineer-Experience Only
Experience: Fresher to 5 Years
Location: Thirumullaivoyal, Chennai
Job Summary
We are looking for a motivated Design Engineer to design and develop Special Purpose Machines (SPM), automation systems, and machine components. Freshers with strong mechanical design knowledge and experienced candidates with SPM design expertise are welcome to apply.
Key Responsibilities
- Design machine components, assemblies, and SPM equipment.
- Prepare 2D drawings and 3D models using CAD software.
- Develop assembly drawings, fabrication drawings, and BOM (Bill of Materials).
- Understand customer requirements and prepare design concepts.
- Coordinate with Production, Assembly, Purchase, and Electrical teams.
- Support machine assembly and resolve design-related issues.
- Modify existing designs based on customer feedback.
- Ensure designs meet quality, safety, and manufacturing standards.
- Maintain engineering documents and revision records.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or Creo/CATIA.
- Good knowledge of machine design and manufacturing processes.
- Understanding of engineering drawings and GD&T basics.
- Knowledge of sheet metal, machining, and fabrication.
- Basic knowledge of pneumatics and automation (preferred).
- Problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Good communication and teamwork.
Qualification
- B.E./B.Tech – Mechanical Engineering
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (with relevant skills) can also apply.
Experience
- Fresher to 5 years in Mechanical Design/SPM/Automation.
Preferred Experience
- Experience in SPM, Conveyor Systems, Industrial Automation, or Machine Design.
- Knowledge of BOM preparation and drawing release process.
